If that kind of strong earthquake hit my city, i think most of the buildings will collapse. It is amazing that buildings in taiwan can withstand the earthquake as strong as this.

It's sad, but don't be that dramatic.

The first cut of this video is from an earthquake in Turkey, not in Taiwan. Don't use sensationalism for clickbait.

I know it’s sad that 9 people died. But Taiwan knows how to build buildings this proves that corruption is low in Taiwan. Because if that was in any other country like China or Turkey, it would have been a big disaster.

Very impressive construction quality to withstand such big quake, bravo to architects and engineers of Taiwan!

Now this is tragic

Too much disaster the global community is facing because of climate change and this needs to be addressed with fierce urgency for humanity to survive. Still the governing bodies of every nation choose to ignore this catastrophic and imminent disaster and while spending billions for military hardware to kill each other and hasten the extinction of man as is seen in Ukraine and Palestine. I pray that reason replaces the greed and idiocy and peace prevails.

I remember reading about the shift or possible shift of the tectonic plates due to the melting of ice world wide. Seems that ice a mile thick over a continent is heavy causing the crust to sink. Melt the ice and it comes back. Creating the earthquake?

The same happen in 1999 sept 21 i work in Taichung many after shock we sleep in parking area for 2weeks very sad.

Its natures fury which has caused the colllossal damage to property and many cas.Its sad .Hope this settles down to help rescuers to help affected.
