Just got the Tribit in the mail today and hooked it up and I gotta say, out of the box on the stock xbass this thing sounds great!!! Lows, mids and highs it's all there! Passed the "Money For Nothing" test with flying colors 😁 👍👍👍

great review!! my favorite, the tail gate style party! t11 is holding its own! i got the[BLAST]!! LOL! and the BOOM PLUS! BUT??? our favorite outdoor speaker is the xg500 sony, got two in stereo. course we run everything wide open every weekend. i think a couple of t11s would do the job great!!

Well I'll be darned!! Wasn't expecting this outcome! I've got a T11 and applied the firmware update last night. Spent several hours today testing it out and came to the conclusion I was impressed with the improved bass performance. I've heard nothing but praises about the Stormbox Blast since it was launched a few weeks ago so I was expecting it to outperform the T11. But no. I agree with you; the T11 is louder with deeper bass that doesn't lessen as the volume increases. Also, I have to give kudos to W-King. They reached out to me within 24 hours of an initial critical review I gave the T11 on Amazon. They asked me to install the 2.32 firmware update (but I already knew about it from your other video). Of course, they don't want a bad review on Amazon, so I can understand their motivation for telling me about the new firmware. Still, it seems like they want to keep their customers happy. And BTW, kudos once again to you for being the first on KZread to tell us all about the T11 firmware update and providing us with helpful videos. I'm a loyal subscriber.

For future reviews, lets put out the truth on actual battery life on playing time. This is something very crucial in determining which one to purchase. Thanks, really enjoying your test/reviews...

For 140$ at Walmart I’ll get the storm blast tbh over the 189$ to 240$ t11! That minimum sound difference between the too and the form factor of the stormbox blast. Maybe gonna wait for the stormbox blast pro edition to hit first. 😊

the W-king 'wins', but... I choose the Tribit for 9 out of 10 situations. Big back yard party... W-king? the thing is the Tribit sounds better off axis than any speaker and at a distance too. Not sure if the 'bigger' more reverby sound of the w-king is going to hold clear sound 25 ft to the side and back 25 feet. The Tribit is much more clear and sounds even better at a diagonal. Tribit- sitting on my kitchen table, in my small room, sitting on the stoop, sitting out back casually, disc golf putting on the side, walking, backpack, woods, beach with a couple people, in a friend's front seat driving, walking up on some friends with a track in mind, ect. W-King- basement, gathering of 8 people or more trying to get hype, back yard party, big party at the beach (which is never)

No holes on the bottom of the T11 to pole mount.

I hope you can test the difference in the sound of the two speakers heard from different listening angles in an outdoor environment, not just from the front, and at different listening distances. Maybe the result will be change.

Doubtful I will be able to do this. I run a tiny channel that already takes up a lot of my time and have spent thousands of dollars. Coming up on 3 years and almost 200 videos and don't even have 3k subscribers. I'm starting to think this isn't worth messing with. 😕

Xbass is great but still rather balanced in terms of sound. try using an equalizer to increase the bass of the tribit. Because you can tease out something, wouldn't have believed it yourself, but it's true. Blaaast

whats the real battery size of the T11.. ive heard its 5.200ma on the label but inside its supposed to have inside a 13.000ma battery?

Hi, I have a question: I currently have a W-King D10 and love it. It's currently priced at $83 thru Amazon with discount. Should I just buy another D10 and pair them? Will this setup be better than just buying one T11? Also in my mind, the battery life of the D10 is longer. So what is better choice for the money? 2 W-King D10s or 1 T11? Thanks!

Yeah, I was also to a certain degree. The biggest factor to me between these two is how the T11 holds it's bass better at max volume. The Blast has a noticeable drop in bass output when you pump the volume.

@@getoutsidenow420 It's actually a fairly common thing with a lot of speakers. They use DSP to reign in the bass some to prevent distortion when the speaker is being pushed. On the flip side, you have some that apparently use zero DSP and allow the speaker to get distorted at high volume.

How do you do firmware update?

T11 is slightly better but both sound almost the same to me in terms of sounds quality outside but loudness t11 is slightly better but in my opinion I would still go for the tribit

@@spartan_a1176 portability they are pretty much a wash. The T11 is slightly larger, but I think the Blast is slightly heavier. Blast is slightly higher waterproof rating if you plan to do some snorkeling with it maybe.😆 These really are two different styles of speakers. Party speaker vs. boombox. The T11 has a microphone/guitar jack and dedicated volume/echo controls for the input, which is for party activities like karaoke or using as a guitar amp. You don't get that with the Blast. The T11 can also be used vertically or horizontally, which isn't an option with the Blast.

Would like to see this comparison (outdoor) 1 to 1 T-9 vs T-11 ....and then two T-9's vs the one T-11 since the cost would be similar in that comparison.

Haha, no rush... but in due time I'd like to see this showdown since I have two T-9's... and I don't have computer stuff to do the sound update for the T-11, so hopefully W-King gets that fixed themselves soon without the consumer having to do it.

@@jackoff1826 I actually did have two T9's once upon a time. Problem is now you can't find the T9. Due to chip shortages they had to use different chips in manufacturing last year and thus the T9-2 is what Amazon is currently selling. The different chips make TWS not possible between the original T9 and the T9-2 they are selling now. 😟

Great updates!.. Luckily, Wking awakes and It is just right for the price now! But still way pricey than the blast.. Btw, welcome to the real party box world and hope you can go kick those bigger sss.. inoucandoit.. we sapot u hahahaha.. But please be gentle with your value, Don't OKilled it.. Lol

I'm not sure if it was one of your previous videos, but I think I heard each T-11 speaker size was advertised at 6" but heard someone basically call BS on that and measured them at barely 5" each (6"was with the outside of the light ring around the speaker). And now I see on their Amazon ad, they've got it changed to 5.25" for each speaker. So another request for the band will be... Can you confirm the actual speaker size for us please?

Yeah, I mentioned in a previous video that the 6" claim was bogus. They were apparently using the Subway method of measuring. 🤣 These are 5" drivers. I don't see how they are even 5.25"

@@stillsleeep outdoors you aren't going to get meaningful deep bass for $300. When you have a speaker outdoors it really zaps the bass, which is why many of these speakers like W-King have what they call "outdoor mode", which actually cuts bass and increases upper range and output.

The W-King T11 when placed horizontally results in its tweeters being placed vertically, not horizontally. Looks like it wasn't designed to be used that way. While it might be louder, it doesn't sound as "open" as the Tribit and perhaps that might be the cause. Not that the Tribit is as good as it could be as far as treble is concerned either - the design is slightly flawed, which might be the cause of the big narrow notch in its response around the 5kHz region, which you can hear when playing certain tracks on it. Both are still good value for the price you'd have to pay for them at the moment (on Amazon, $249 for the T11, $199 for the Tribit). With $249 to spend though, I might just buy two Mifa Wildboxes instead, enjoy great portable sound from them and spend the balance on beer :-).

Incorrect. One side of the T11 has 4 rubber feet. Smaller than those of the Partybox 110, but like the Partybox 110, the T11 can be used horizontally. Same holds true for the T9.....has 4 small rubber feet on the right side. Hope this helps clear up any confusion. 🤨

@@JaysStraightUpReviews It may have rubber feet on the side to lay it down like that, but when you put the T11 on its side, the tweeters end up one above the other, not on the sides. Hell, if you mount it vertically, the main drivers end up being vertical as well. So, as a result, there is absolutely no chance of producing even a decent stereo sound, if it's capable of doing so in the first place. The Tribit on the other hand can produce a true stereo sound, albeit a bit limited due to the spacing between the drivers.

@@Grommet2007 the tweeters are like 2-3" apart, so horizontally or vertically it isn't much different. You aren't going to get much separation vertically if that is what you are after. Same set up as the JBL Partybox 110 and the Sony XP-500. Both of those also have both tweeters in the middle and feet on the side to be used horizontally. Where have you been. bro?

@@JaysStraightUpReviews Yes, none of those speakers would provide any sort of even fair stereo image. They're designed for one purpose - to get loud. The use two tweeters mounted close to each other can actually result in worse sound (comb filtering). IMO the Tribit's design makes it a bit more versatile - it can go loud AND provide a relatively decent stereo image compared to other BT speakers. It would be the one I'd opt for if I had to choose between the two. Hmm.. For $250, you could buy TWO Soundcore Trance Gos, which would likely be louder than both the Tribit and the T11. unfortunately it looks like that they can't be paired in stereo, dammit...!
