Nice item and fair price. The kit that I received uses Allen head cap screws X4 as opposed to hex head bolts. No big deal of course. I did use all 4 cap screws at the top and small stainless washers, two washers at each caps crew to take out the loose play at each location. This made everything fit much better and I also put the pull pins on the ladder to allow for easy adjustment should that be necessary. Great item and easy to install.

I have not purchased this but I intend to. Hopefully no issues installing on my Jeep Gladiator. But one suggestion I can make right off the bat is when you lay the plate on top and mark the hole, make sure you put that screw into that hole first so the plate doesn't shift while marking the other holes. Then mark and drill remaining holes accordingly. Looking forward to this!

THANKS! This ladder is excellent, I wish I had gotten one years ago.

Be aware that the first step is omitted on both this video and the instructions in the book. I am guessing they used to attach a part to the base plate at the company before shipping. Took me a trip to the store to try to find missing bolts and finally getting it together to figure out the 2 silver loopy things are actually used in the omitted first step.

Did you have trouble with the tailgate cable being in the way of the front rocker arm?

Have to drill your own holes. Screws supplied do not work are not self tapping. Too much work for simple ladder. Bad design

Your totally correct Mark, it's clearly made for a DIY minded woman and not at all designed for a guy that calls mom to help install a simple light bulb. "Too much work" on this project?...Wow! Dude' I've been disabled from a spinal cord injury since 1999 with 7 bad discs with arthritis through my spine ,I broken neck in 1983 and I can still handle this easy job. Sure' it takes me longer but'..OMG our country is doomed to hell! ...lmao
