A guy my Dad used to fly 747s with at Cathay has N744(followed by his initials) on a very cool Widgeon. Ironically my grandad used to fly a C150 here in Aus with the reg VH-ICE. He had an engine failure and binned in a muddy paddock. Walked away from it but the cause turned out to be carb icing. The joke of ice causing ICE to crash stuck with him. Goes to show though, he had flown in the Rhodesian Bush War and had 10000+ TT yet still simply forgot to pull carb heat.

Instead of 80085 you could do 8008S or 800BS, still reads the same.

The good ones are already taken. No surprise. N800TY is taken. Thought of N050UP. I don’t think that one is taken. No soup like not souped up maybe…I don’t know. Although not exactly what you want because you want to be fast. N801LS is already taken. As is N800ED. I’ve just been trying to think of different words you can spell using those parameters. That’s what I’ve come up with so far. Here’s another one if you stretch it a little. Does a 6 look enough like a G? You could do N0604U.

What about N925BY? 9 for your birth month, 25 for birthday and then BY for Brickyard.

If its for a deregistered plane can you get it? Thought of another one... N188LE - 1 for i, 88 for bb therefore your tailname would be... NIBBLE!

Coolest aircraft registration I’ve seen is a Gulstream owned by Nike that is N1KE. An N-Number can be in any of these formats One to five numbers (N12345) One to four numbers followed by one letter (N1234Z) One to three numbers followed by two letters (N123AZ) N-Numbers do not have A zero (0) as the first number The letters "I" or "O" For easy of ATC communications, I would suggest staying away from multiple syllable numbers (Niner, Zero) and more than one multiple syllable letters. For example, N1WM. Then you would call up ATC as “Malibu One Whiskey Mike departing TYQ enroute to ABE climbing One One Thousand.” You probably gave TMI on this clip.😊 N98500 is available
