That is a dead room. Taika is magic.

So funny and the host and crowd are giving him nothing. And yet that makes him funnier. Like no one can keep up and he just enjoys it. One of my favourite interviews ever.

I'm torn, because while I absolutely loved this movie, I would love to see a more fantasy-centric, epic Thor film. That said, I'm not going to complain because I didn't get what I envisioned for the character.

In another interview, Taika mentions how Flash Gordon was his favorite "super-hero" movie and was an inspiration to do Thor: Ragnarok. He goes on to say that if Freddie Mercury were still alive, he would have asked Queen to provide the music. He also said that the production design, with its vivid colours, was another thing that he drew upon for inspiration.

OMG he's hilarious and he's not trying that hard to be;... makes you appreciate someone who is thrilled to be making a movie and loving it unlike other directors who are so pretentious and so serious about their movies as if they were written by God himself.

I was concerned about the same then i realized is the same thing that happens at the comic con panels that are recorded, the audience doesn't have a microphone so you can barely hear them.

He's amazing. I hope he does more big movies, his brilliance is undeniable.

Taika's hilarious & bonkers, as always. 😂 Thoroughly enjoyed the movie! Definitely the most entertaining Thor movie so far. And Korg was very lovable & funny. So thank you and lots & lots of kudos to you, Mr. Waititi! You did great!

So amazing that he took the two characters I cared about the least and made what became my favorite marvel movie

This is the most entertaining interview I have ever seen.

This man made one of the MCU's best and most different movies. Thor Ragnarok was funny, emotional, epic, all rolled into one. Every actor gave their best, and it shows. Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thomson, Jeff Goldblum and Taika Watiti were all epic. It was one of the funniest films I have seen and has some of the best action in a superhero movie. The scene on *SPOILER* *SPOILER* The bridge, when Thor showed his full power, and jumped into battle to the epic guitar riff of Immigrant Song brought tear to my eyes and gave me goosebumps.

Just finished watching Thor and it’s very fun, action and hilarious story telling. I knew right away the character that the director played was from New Zealand 🇳🇿 because of his accent! Much respect to the Director to bring Aussies and Kiwis unto his staff! Great Movie!

Why should it need to be explained why an alien has a New Zealand accent? Do we need to have it explained why an alien has an american accent?

I think Taika was giving the interviewer all the anxiety. And it's hilarious. Side note, I watched Holy Mountain for the first time about a month ago and can kind of see the influence, albeit very minor.

taika: what's Bob Marley doing in the film? interviewer: who are you most nervous to work with? taika: Bob Marley...

Is the entire audience doped up on Xanex or something?! Jeezus, he's dropping comedy gold left and right and there's just vague chuckles!

This is great, Taika is basically taking the piss. Which would be easy to do if faced with this interviewer.

Have watched so many Taika interviews since seeing Thor.. never get tired of his humour... breath of fresh air into the MCU lineup. Proud to be a kiwi :)

38 mins went by so fucking fast! you never see taika's sense of humour coming cause he is so spontaneous with it lool he's amazing men, i was cracking up from beginning to end.

My crush for Taika is getting even bigger after this interview. God this man is hilarious. And handsome. Damn.

T: Well, the big difference is obviously the catering. The food. Yeah jumps like 15 levels. In terms of food aye. Chur keep it real bro sounds like a mean feed!

Immigrant Song being used several times during an epic scenes in the movie is one of the most brilliant thing Waititi did for this movie! (Along with several other things of course. Like letting Hemsworth let loose with his comedic timing and improvised almost everything.) I absolutely loved every single minute watching Thor: Ragnarok.

This man made The God of thunder more lovable and anticipated for Infinity war.

I've seen almost all of his work, I was so happy to hear he got the job for Thor. Saw it yesterday and he was the absolutely right man for the job. THE funniest marvel movie

Taika Waititi seems like such a great guy.

Well he has a unique approach to comedy that is both clever and simple, I think it’s clever based on the simplicity. He was saying that in his films(taika) he tries to bring out the humor in the mundane, and this movie is so good because they didn’t try to force anything during the production. They took the most natural approach given the cast taika had to work with. Truly brilliant and this film is making money accordingly. Often times filmmakers let the pressure go to their heads and work too hard for a film that doesn’t produce good results.

This audience just does not get his humor.

The character the director played in the movie was probably the funniest guy in the whole movie, and it also shows in real life, lol! Dude is hilarious!

I kind of can't believe that the guy who played in what we do in the shadows, looks like a Robert Downey Jr that's simultaneously younger and older, has this deep voice and directed a marvel movie

Taika often overtakes interviewers, especially Americans (seriously they always struggle!). I reckon this guy has done a better job than most.

One thing you can learn from this guy is you shouldn't take things too seriously. Like some people saying "He didn't let Taika answer!" in the comments XD Dude...he's clearly showing you to not take the interview too seriously and just have fun XD
