Something to note: Make your commander indestructible, cast Chain of Plasma targeting your commander, and you will be able to loop through your deck, filling your GY for Underworld Breach. Still not the best but something to note.

Note: Taii adds damage to the ping, so if you activate her for 5 mana, a 1-damage ping will deal 6 while a 2-damage ping will deal 7.

This is a super fun casual commander. Especially at a table with lower decks. Take out the infinite combos and just try to solve the puzzle every turn. Good at politics because it can do the table a favour and always have an answer for a creature threat. End game of a reasonable x (say 5) and a couple of cantrips and tap effects. It’s not fast but it is fun.

how does the combo with Shaman en-kor work? I see the potential.

I dunno about cEDH viability, but what about the various group slug cards with this? It’s weak to spellslinger until you play a spellshock and hold up a Taii Wakeen pump for when they go to storm off, so now they’re taking tons of damage for every spell cast. Could do a similar thing with Manabarbs, Zo-zu, etc. Seems good if you have a lot of ad nauseum in your meta.

Seems like with the preference of a grand abolisher or slience: Jeska's will + reiterate will allow you to dig for grapeshot and is enough spells to storm into 3 copies. With unlimited mana you'd be able to do infinite damage. Would require an opponent to have 7 cards in hand though. Also, It is 9 mana to pull off.

I guess really that combo allows you to exile your deck and generate infinite mana so you'd be able to grapeshot for a lot anyway.

Prob too slow but you could run a Brash Taunter/Stuffy Doll which can be found with a recruiter and with enough ping effects you can deal 1 to it to draw a card and then use Taii's ability to have it deal more than the 1 damage back at something else.

Spitemare + indestructible do damge to itself. Taii adds x To Spitemare adding 1 damge ever time it deals damge to itself. Then target an opponent for the win.

She also provides value if you target your own creatures correct?. Including her into a winotta could be I interesting because if the creatures have indestructible you still get the draw effect

If blue farm is rock and Magda is papers, this guy is scissors. But not actual scissors, more like the plastic kid-safe ones you used in kindergarten that can’t cut, and there are a trillion more rocks than paper so you’re even further held back 😂 honestly I think even 16% win rate for this guy is generous, I’d think 10-12 at best honestly but I guess we shall see 🤷‍♂️

Theres also enchantments and equipment that give the same "hit me I hit you" trigger. What I'm wondering if BR is hit for 5 and you activate Taii for 5, would BR hit damage+5?

Cool concept, but this is more of a casual commander. Any commander that affects creatures has been super fun for me in casual and high powered games. In cedh, not so much lol. But we will see

Nah that one is a bit expensive. 1 CMC red spells that deal damage should be better.

It will not work to get draws from Taii, as the affected creatures deal damage to themselves and therefore not from "a source you control"

Multiple times you, "if you have 1 damage ping effects and a bunch of 2 toughness creatures on your opponents side, you can activate this commander paying 2 and you will ping for 2 damage and draw lots of cards." but the actual card says damage + x so if x = 2 your pingers will do 3 right? You meant to say x is 1 in this example I think. Later you just say convert to 3 damage or convert to 2 damage and it is confusing how you get there. danke

For casual Commander maybe but not for cedh
