Just watched this and your original outrigger video. Awesome. I've been slowly modding my lil kayak for fishing this spring and been looking at outrigger videos. Thank you for showing a video with practical use after building. I think this will definitely be getting added to my yak soon👍😁

My first kayak was the lifetime tahoma. Made outrigers using adjustable steel flag pole holders that fold up when not using them on the water and take off when transporting. I'm a big guy so me and my gear exceded the 275 lb capacity considerably so it belongs to my great grand daughter now. I got a big guys kayak now. Sure makes me feel good that i made them outriggers.we enjoy our time on the water together. Any way really like yalls videos. Take care. God bless ya keep up the good work.

How would I go about securing these to my kayak (Pelican Challenger 100 Angler) since I dont have any way of getting inside of it to put on some washers and nuts for using bolts. Any suggestions would be great

I just looked at a picture of a kayak like yours, without being able to add a hatch it will be a tough one to figure out. Maybe you could use the rod holders with pvc pipe coming out and elbow them into the water someway. See if you can find pvc to fit the rod holders. And elbow back into the water. If I had one like that I would try to figure it out. Thanks and God bless.

He did everything in his power to flip. I believe with being normal it would never flip.

I wanted to ask you if a 27" fender would reduce the risk of flipping? I am trying to decide to use either 23" or 27" I have a set of both. Any ideas?

@@attechoutdoors5893 I see. I have a disability that requires me to be extremely careful around water. A hole in my neck from Cancer. If I fall in the water I will drown even though I can swim. That's why I asked about the 27" fenders. Thank you for your prompt reply. I appreciate your insight.

Just make sure you wear a life jacket. I’ve tried it without one in my pond and flipped adjusting the out rigger. Was not fun and had to buy new wallet. Yikes. Thanks for watching...!

so a buddy made his with outriggers that can darn near hold his weight and its almost impossible to flip but, once the float gets under the kayak its over it goes

Only work for light kayak I already pay my kayak $500 my stability already I can stand up no problem

Great. That’s good I have the Big Fish 120 and it’s very stable. Check out that vid.

I think the pontoons are too high. For a better balance they should be adjusted so that they start to lift the side of the fully loaded boat when in the water. It appears they are not even providing any support until the boat leans a few inches onto them.

They work for us but there is always room for improvements

Instead of another bracket or pin on either end, Just install a nut and bolt dead center through the PVC and wood and your pivot problem is solved.

There have been so many new advances in kayaks in the last 10 years. I've been kayak and canoe fishing over 25 years and the value you get in that boat for the money is insanely good. Feelfree kayaks have a wheel in the keel that makes it tge easiest boat to transport.

I just got mine today. It's definitely a do-all paddle kayak. Rivers, lakes, ponds, inshore. Jack of all trades, not the absolute best for any specific thing, but it'll do it all comfortably.

I watched a vid with a guy 6'2, 240. He didn't have any problems with his. He wasn't trying to flip his though. He was fishing and paddling like anyone else though and he didn't have any stabilizers. His was Lifetime Tamarack Angler 100.

I cringe everytime i hear folk say that catfish will sting ya!they have 3 bony spikes/fin's,1 directly on top,and two pointing out to either side like wings,they are NOT poisonous,they don't inject anything other than the slime that coats the skin of most, if not all fish.what they are known to do is flop fast and hard and poke the crap out of u with a spine,(super painfull)and it sometimes becomes a lil infected due to being out fishing and not getting proper first aid!.ok that's my lesson on at least the 3 type of 🐱 fish i catch in the great state of N.C.
