Storm, just wants to "work" those sheep. She is such a good dog. Always eager to herd......
Storm is so amazing!! Her patrolling the outside of the pen is so her. Sean how you handle the lambs with confidence, patience and not wanting to add extra stress is great to see. THANK YOU for your videos

Well done! I had to chuckle at Storm, she was ready to round up those sheep for you and really did not like letting them go! It was like she was asking "are you sure you don't want me to round them up? I can do this for you, it's easy!" 😂 She is one to never give up as she loves her job!
Thank you for not just entertaining, but informing us! Few people know much about sheep keeping, but are quick to judge. You definitely have a passion for your work! Storm, Kate, and Echo do, too. Storm just wanted to run those sheep!

Those sheep were not having it LOL. Great teamwork getting them in the pen.
I’m as excited as Storm to hear either “away” or “come by.” Love being on your farm without the cold.
Storm: "But dad I want to herd them! It's what I do." lol I love seeing working dogs do what they were bred to do.

I love your interaction with the dogs.
Ich liebe es, einem schottischen Bauern bei der Arbeit mit seinen Hunden zuzusehen. Ich habe viel gelernt, im Umgang mit meinen eigenen Hunden.
Dear Sean, although I „just“ have an 11 year old small dog in Austria, your videos are very interesting for me. 🤓 There are not so many sheeps in Austria, but yesterday after hiking in a canyon I saw a very large group of sheeps with sheepman and his dogs. Instantly I thought of you and your dogs which. I find amazing! Best wishes to you, Stacey and your dogs.

I love watching your dogs and I’m not a dog person! I love how they look and their eagerness to work and please you. I’m a seventy two year old girl living in Ohio and I’ve never seen a sheep up close☺️I’m fascinated with the workings of the farming and with Scotland. I’ve must see it sometime soon! Love your videos!🥰

Can almost hear Storm..." But Dad, just another 5 minutes..."
Always lovely to see the “grunt” work of farming. Storm was sure happy to help you with the sheep. She didn’t want her duties to end even. But the sheep were glad to get out into the big field again after your tagging and physical check up. Glad the sheep, as well as Storm and you, Sean, are all well and ready for another blessed Sunday in 2024, in Scotland and elsewhere around the world!!! 👍🥰❤️
My Golden loves watching your dogs do their work... She gets up in my lap to see better.
Great video…very informative. Per usual, it’s always a pleasure to watch Stormy in action.

Just wanted to say I grow up with the border collie breed I had an uncle that trained them for herding his beef. He used vocal signals. It always amazed me how smart these dogs are.
It makes sense to have livestock tagged. I didn't know it was the law to have them tagged and registered. I assume that is the same here in the US, too.

In the US, we castrate, vaccinate and tag in one session and some places brand at the same time. Quite a process.

I don't think we brand Animals in the UK. It sounds barbaric. We do give the sheep a spray paint colour on their side. This also identifies the flock. Especially Hill Sheep that are grazing on the hills as opposed to being in a field. @@monaquilts4679
Your sheep know the commands quite well. ❤🇦🇺
"You may be in a pen but I am still watching you.".....Storm.
Those sheep are so well trained: they know when the dog starts, they run straight towards you 😂
I Love how the sheep come to you😂😂🤣they know the commands!! Storm is just a wonderful dog to watch, so nice you take great care of the sheep too, hope all is going well with you an Stacey with the IVF,

Hi from Ontario Canada. Been enjoying the channel. One of my favourite things to do is to go to the Sheepdog Trials in Kingston Ontario every August. It's the biggest trial in North America and I am always astounded at the border collies at work. On the Sunday they have the Double Lift competition where the dog has to get two separate sets of 10 sheep which means leaving the first 10 to get the second 10 which are not visible to the dog. Once the two herds are merged the dog and shepherd have to separate out 5 of the sheep that have collars, keep them in a ring until all the other sheep have drifted off the field and then get them in the pen. They have 30 minutes to do this and usually only a few manage to complete the whole process. Wonderful to watch.

My ancestors came from Scotland 3 generations ago lived in Scotland, so it is great to see the countryside and they were farmers too.
Love watching your dogs work. My favorite part of the Scottish highland games here in the States are the herding demos of the Border Collies. We have several farmers who continue to use these and other herding breeds as working dogs and then bring them out to the games field to give demonstrations of herding a variety of beasts -- ducks and geese, sheep, and human toddlers. That last one not for a while (decade or more?).
Love this page your dogs are amazing 😊

My uncle runs a dairy farm all the way down in Sussex, and I like to help with the calves. They get tagged too, and it's the same. One bleat and they don't care. I love your videos and dogs are the best dogs I've ever seen!
So nice, social and lovely, smart bordercollie, very fast,
Pretty much the same we did with cattle when I was coming up. Nice and easy. Thanks for letting us see the process and the explanation!

Would love to see more of rural Scotland!
Reminds me of working our cattle on the ranch. Your teaching and explanation are wonderful. Helps us understand why you do things the way you do. Your patience with your sheep and dogs is so nice to see. Sheep and cattle can be aggravating when working with them! 😂 Thank you for another great video! 💜
Thanks Sean, really enjoyed that. Keep warm. 😊
This is so inspiring
Thanks for showing us this! It's good to understand the reasoning behind tagging.I like the comparison to microchipping a pet. As always, wonderful to see Storm in action. I love how she jumps up to give you affection at the end.
Always fun watching you and the pups working. Here in Texas, we have a lot more cattle than sheep. I'm not sure if the ranchers use dogs as much as you do.
Love watching you and the Border Collies. I live vicariously through your channel. Thank you from western Canada
Brilliant! My Dad was born in Donegal 1929. He's 95. I've been to Ireland several times and have seen the sheepdogs in action. Amazing videos! Thank you. Monetize this by having a " join" button for subscriptions.

I had a border collie that I got from Scotland and I love her. there is not a dog smarter than a border collie. She was my best friend.
