Thanks for all the videos I have really enjoyed them. One question, at the 2:08 minute mark you undo the tag ends from the jig, what keeps the tension? You mention they are crossed and thats why the stay put. Could you elaborate? When I do it the tension is dropped and that doesn't seem right.

+Mason Wilcox IF I get what you mean. The wax in the string should hold the strands on the pins. The amount of tension should be just enough to lay them out with out them sagging. I hope this is what your asking. If not give me a call. Butch

Butch, thanks for the reply. That does answer my question I have been practicing with b-50 and I'm sure that's why they haven't acted the same as the fury in the video. I really enjoy the jig I got from you last week thanks again.

He half hitches the ends and then seems to twirl them in some more before starting to wrap the eye. I just use a half hitch and pull it tight, the rest does the wax for me. But I have wear gloves right form the getgo - guess I have more tension on my jig at this stage, so everything is bit harder to do but I don't get pop-offs. Otherwise the string will cut me before even pulling the first wrap on both sides tight. B50/B55 is rather soft in comparison to Fury or 8190 on your skin. I use sailing glove as they got more patting then mech gloves, right where the string yarn will rub along.
