Taeyeon is so versitile and does experiment more than most artists tbh. Lately she wanted to release a carefree happy song after all the shit we have been going through recently. If you want dark and unique, you need to listen to something like "I got love" or most of her b-sides are really interesting, like her whole Purpose album

her other mvs are quite different from "weekend" so i hope you can listen to them at some point (in your own time of course 😌). "spark" is one of my favorites because the album is so good, but there's "i got love" which also has a particular sound. but i'm excited about her bsides because they are so good and deserve to be discovered by even more people, "lol" and "better babe" are from my favorites, her japanese songs are also very good, on "i do" she raps a bit too and it's from my favorite songs. if you don't like ballads much, then you can watch the live performances, they are very good and tae is a great singer, she is full of emotions while singing them so that makes them intense and entertaining. anyway i really enjoyed your reaction, thank you ❤️🥺

Taeyeon is probably your best choice if you're looking for diverse music. She is just so versatile.

If you're looking for different sound Taeyeon does a lot of genre from her past releases It's really hard to choose I would suggest for you to listen to alll her songs hahahaa Try to start with her Title tracks and listen to it in order Thank You ☺

Taeyeon has experimented a lot with different sounds in her title tracks, but there are some of my favorite songs EVER in her b-sides. My Voice is one of my favorite albums completely with Cover Up, Sweet Love, Lonely Night, and Timelapse. Her first mini album “I” also has Gemini and Stress, which I still go crazy over after 6 years of listening to them. If you eventually get to album listens, I think you will really love them.

Thanks Fifi, as expected your instincts are spot on. (My guess is you will listen to this song and it will grow on you). Not sure what you've heard from her, but in a way her solo stuff varies quite a bit from her early stuff like I, Fine, Why to Japan releases (Stay, #Girls Speak Out), Station tracks (Rain), to more recent tracks like What Do I call You, Spark, Something New, etc. So, you can dig in just about anywhere. I think her albums My Voice and Purpose you would like very much - you should just buy them both. Finally, you should watch her 'S Concert (Seoul) and her Signal Tour concert (Japan) both cover a lot of ground, are performed with live bands, and she is incredible to watch live.
