she debuted as an above average singer, now she’s just perfection, SM worked hard and Taeyeon worked harder

Technique and control wise she wasn’t as impressive as she is right now right off the bat, harder notes need to be reach with little to some struggle thus not sounding as free or nature. Since her solo debut it’s a different story tho, she’s an amazing singer no doubt, even if I-am very bias when it come Taeyeon :)

I love that she stopped using her high pitched voice when reaching high notes and depended more on using her diaphragm and belting the notes. It really suit her well. The evolution is so nice to watch and see her improve. I like her

Taeyeon has one of the best voices ever. She can be soft and delicate but also fill your existence up with her powerful voice. She can do ballads and R&B but also challenge upbeat, rock-ish songs. There's not one song that Taeyeon sings that sounds bad. Give her an average song, she'll make it great. Just give her anything and she'll do the job.

I’ve always thought her biggest proof of improvement is her Genie adlib from pre-solo debut to post-solo debut. She clearly trained and improved her voice MASSIVELY and it’s so distinguishable in the way she hits that adlib. Even her facial expression changed, because of how easy it became for her to nail it.

Not a professional, but I’ve always had an interest in vocals since doing choir in school. About mid time, I’m pretty sure she got a diff vocal instructor. You can hear the strain in her voice in the first few. But then she started hitting higher notes cleanly with a different tone in her voice. Especially in UR. Props to her hard work ❤️

Yeah, I noticed that in early days, she had this tendency to sound 'thinner' when she had to reach high note. Nowadays, her high note sounded 'fuller'.

Her high notes were a bit unstable in the first few years bcs it wasnt in her range YET at the time . She got better really quick and really powerfull too . Especially in the boys . As always my bias Taeyeon

It was more on and off depending on the events that occurred in her life. In 2015 during the "I" era, she was the thinnest I've ever seen her. She'd gain weight after that, then back down again. She's all good nowadays though

I just realise taeyeon always comeback at music awards than music show. Rain at MAMA, Four season at Gaon and Spark at SMA. wow my queen.

2009년부터 실력이 확 올랐네 2011년부터 더 안정적이고 소화 음역대가 넓어지고 시간이 지날수록 성량도 더 커지고 고음하면서 기교도 자유자재로 넣고 어디까지 성장할지 끝을 알수없다 잘하네 하면서 듣다가 진짜 깜짝놀랐네

@@beafbuger no they’re not. It was rare for groups back then to lip sync (compared to today’s where everyone’s ones doing it left, right and centre) So the majority of these are live, you can also tell the concert ones are live

뭔가 발성이 곧고 정직하다가 점점 깊어지고 목소리 톤을 많이 계발한 것 같다.. 데뷔 초 때도 이만큼 감성있고 가창력있을 순 없다고 생각했던 것 같은데 이렇게 보니까 발전했다는 게 너무 놀랍고.. 진짜 진짜 강인한 사람인 것 같아서 본받고 싶어진다... 저 작은 몸에서 저만큼 성량 이끌어 내려면 아무래도 통 큰사람보단 힘들텐데 분명 육체적인 한계를 이겨냈어야 할테고.,. 아 진짜 너무 대단.,. 늙어서 손자들한테 ‘이 할미 젊었을 적엔 태연이라는 가수가 있었는데 말이야-‘하고 운 떼고 하루종일 애기할 듯

j beom 제가 뜻한 바는 ‘목소리 톤에 대한 어떤 부분을 깨우쳤다.’입니다. 그렇기 때문에 좀 더 깊게 자신의 능력을 발굴했다는 의미를 전하고자 했습니다. 또한 어법상 ‘자기 개발’과 ‘자기 계발’ 모두 옳은 표현입니다. 그리고 이런 이유를 차치하고서도 제가 오타이든 맞춤법을 틀린 것이든, 님처럼 본인이 아는 것을 과시하기 위해서 상대방 기분나쁘게 하는 일 보단 나은 것 같네요. 순수하게 맞춤법을 고쳐주시고 싶으셨다면 ‘실례지만 계발이 아닌 개발이라고 써야 문맥상 맞는 것이 아닐까요?’라고 의견을 내주시는 것이 예의라고 생각합니다.

At first she had trouble staying in tune but had a good tone, and within a couple years she mastered it. Love seeing her improve. Her voice got so powerful starting around 2012...

She dont have trouble staying in tune, if she have trouble staying in tune then she will be sound out of tune like cant sing idols lmao taeyeon cant relate

와 모든 곡을 알고 있고 한곡 들을때마다 마음 뭉클해지면 옛날 향수에 젖는게 신기하다...보통 옛날 노래 듣고 향수를 느끼게 해주는 곡들이 있는데 소시곡은 올패스인듯...이렇게 전곡다 어릴 때 향수 느끼기 쉽지 않은데
