I agree, it doesn't sound like a song from BTS or Big Band or a Korean Song. Very Western vibes is what I got. I'm glad you noticed Jimin singing in the background when Taeyang was singing in the beginning. Bel Biv Devoe Poison was the drums or some Bruno Mars song, I'm not sure which but I heard it. Also Yes, yes yes, I think Jimin was rapping. I would love him to do that more. His register really lowered you could here it when he finished his sentences. Taeyang is from legend kpop group Bigbang. He is a great singer, dancer, performer. BTS look up to them. For Jimin this collaboration is a dream come true for him

Ah, I’ve been really interested to see what you were gonna think of this. I *completely* got it wrong and thought you might not like it that much! I do wish the song weren’t quite so fast to end. (I feel really old that all I seem to do nowadays is complain that the trend is to release songs under 3mins). Anyway, I think it’s super slick production and suits both of them really well. Jimin has delivered some of his *coolest* vocals here. Loved to hear him using his lower register. Initially, I wasn’t sure I thought it was that great, but I’ve found myself listening quuiiiite a few times so I guess the groove (will not say vibe will not say vibe) has got under my skin.

Jimin has had some lower parts in past Bts songs but they usually keep him in the high range. Part of the reason I am looking forward to his solo album is to hear him do a wider range, because he can! This helped Taeyang get back in the groove and it helped Jimin show what he might be like solo. He is credited as a composer on it too. I will ck out Taeyangs stuff now and I might not have otherwise.

I'm waiting for jimins album too, he gets very few lines anymore so I usually watch the older music because jimin has beautiful vocals and i miss them so much. I thought these two sounded superb together, they sound and look like a duo...I hope they do more because I love their vibe...

I think so too. But if it was given to the vocal line, it'll be split between jk and jimin probably. I have noticed that jimin does some of the faster singing parts in a few songs actually. Home, boy with luv - for example.

😅 It fits very well with Taeyang style . I hope you watch more of his R&B songs I think people really dont give the Black Label production team enough credit . They made a song that fit both of them and got the best of Jimin too . They know Taeyang for like 10 years now but they probably studied videos of Jimin and really talk to him to make sure the song fits his vocals and he and Taeyang practiced together to get harmonised . I am sure the fact that Jimin study and practice Taeyang songs for years helped made things easier .

Jimin's voice is naturally higher. Also, rap line might get that first. But that's not how BTS does line distribution. The person who voice fits it best gets it. Cue Joon really wanting to rap a part he wrote in one of the songs but Suga got it. So yeah it's whoever fits best with each member singing the whole song.

True, which is why it's so great that Jimin can do solo and collab work now. He's had such limited opportunities in the last couple of years, even with his dancing, that it has been frustrating for his fans. So excited for the new era of Jimin showing us his full talents.

This is a dream come true for Jimin as he has been a fan of Taeyang even before his debut days. When Taeyang asked him to sing with him in his comeback solo "Vibe", he accepted it without any second thought. But he was not treated fairly by Taeyang's agency, The Black Label which is under YG Entertainment. He took part in writing and composing this song as well. But in some social media platforms such as Tiktok and Spotify, his name was not included as a singer. I feel upset that up to these days, BTS still gets unfair treatment. But when BTS ask other artists to collaborate with them, their names are always credited. I feel bad for Jimin. I hope it was just some technical errors. If not, I hope Taeyang and Teddy (Black Label's producer) can do something to clarify this matter to their agency. After all, it was them who asked Jimin to have this collaboration. Correction for you, Jungkook of BTS does rap as backup and very capably, however RM, Suga, and Jhope are the rap line. It I'd amazing to hear Jimin rap. Suga must be soo proud.

I think he meant that if someone from the vocal line would do more rap type singing in a song, he would have thought it would be Jk, cause Jk has done it the most in previous Bts songs 💜

The first verse is lacking something. The start is just not good. jimin part is good. at the end when they both come together it sounds really good and their voices are really compatible. Taeyang has done these type of songs in his solo work before so he didn't really did something new. Honestly this song would be really flat without jimin. I don't agree with comparison to bts. I agree he doesn't uses this type of vocal range in bts songs often but he gets to do solo songs in a bts where he has complete freedom to do whatever he wanna do. Still his parts in bts songs are really amazing. I'm happy that he is exploring his range
