Today my 5 year old daughter said she wants to learn Taekwondo. Guess what! I got my black belt when I was a kid. My dad was an instructor. I'm going to teach her at home but I need a refresher. These videos are perfect! Thank you for posting them!

I really appreciate the way you do the moves in slow motion, without using slow motion filming, so you are still talking normally, and explaining at a speed I can take in at the same time :) Off to my first grading in one hour, and wanting last minute practice like this first. Very helpful video, thank you.

This brings back memories when I was 16 I was a brown belt but the instructor moved and stopped going. I would like to get back into it now

my son William has been going tewknowdo for two years he's doing very well with it his now a yellow belt working for the yellow green one help him listen a lot n remembering patterns very proud

Excellent and very detailed video....thanks. My obsession with stances led me to create the 'StanceSetter' range of mats. Practice at home or in the dojang safe in the knowledge that each stance performed will be correct then after multiple repetitions your muscles will learn the correct movement.

I'm used to the hip twist from Chito Ryu and Shotokan Karate, too. I prefer the old style better.

Hi and gane. This sport called Taekwondo, but it has got lots of different names, clothing and different forms with different movements. About 22 years ago my teacher gave me yellow belt and then I left that country and he told me that the clothing for our school is black V neck and white top and bottom, while belts are in different colour and our system is called poomsae only (poomsae). I want to restart, but I am confused which one to use as to be accordingly to my yellow belt as there are lots of usfule lessons on youtube. Thanks.

Ok for keeping fit but not practical for real life - just like Shotokan Karate. BJJ and Boxing/Kickboxing are street effective.

I know I asked this before I don't or didn't get a answer is of yet. But why dose a Koran. Martial Art Have a Japanese name and not a Koran name. You call it Dojo

This is because sometimes schools don't even know what they teach. They want to call it TaeKwon-Do because is a recognized name but then they teach you a mix of karate and tkd. For those that don't know better, they don't realized they are inside a mcdojo. but you are right, if a school is teaching real Taekwon-Do they will call it Dojang. Now japanese and koreans share similar names, it is normal and ok to call it Dojo even in korea.

Hallo, schön gemacht, aber einiges hätte ich doch anderst gemacht. Zum Beispiel »momtong an makki« hätte ich tiefer und in der Mitte ausgeführt. Was gar nicht geht ist der ist der Name »iDojo«! Dojo ist japanisch für Trainingsraum! Japanische Begriffe haben nichts im Taekwondo zu suchen. Dojang ist der richtige Name. Gruß aus München
