tadao ando | conference pavilion | vitra campus
tadao ando's conference pavilion on the vitra campus was the first building that the architect realized outside of japan. the architecture film captures the meditative mood of the building and allows the concrete building to rest in the aesthetic atmosphere of the cherry orchard.

thank you for your kind words!
Weiter so ;)

He executes that quiet philosophy so well

Looks nice

thank you - this means much for us!
You guys are amazing loved it. Plus one sub

One of the greatest videos so far.
I once visited it, it was impressive to see the structures of natural elements in the concrete walls. This video is very relaxing, meditative. I subbed. :)

It doesn't have a name. The soundscape was specially created for the film together with soundartist Luyu Zou.

yes, but sometimes we will set a break or an iritation.
Love Tadao Ando works, but this is a bad cinematography choice, not showing interesting architectural space, but let building become movie storytelling background gloomy dark and cold prison like.
is it just me or am I the only one that feels like this is a prison
@9sekunden

Prison? Maybe it's just the concrete that you associate with prison. But I can assure you, that being inside the conference pavilion feels nothing like a prison. It's a very poetic and beautiful place :)

do you mean the architecture or the film? :)
I find these kinds of spaces incredibly depressing and soul-crushing. The videography and soundtrack didn't help either.

Si no te gusta... Tu problema.
Too much concrete. Looks like prison complex.
