I'm 42 years old and I carry a Build a Bear everywhere I go. Sometimes he stays in my backpack but mostly he stays in my arms. I also carry a couple little stuffies in my bag and a fee of my little guys (I have a bunch of wee plastic and rubber animals that I call my "little guys"). I get weird looks some times, but oh well; it helps me feel like I can be out in the world. Thanks for affirming that its ok to do what I need to, for me!

I just ordered a five lb weighted stuffed puppy and I can’t wait til it gets here. I’m twenty five but I LOVE stuffies so much. I’m the same about gift shops, I NEED to buy a stuffed toy if I’m in one. Usually an elephant if I can find one. It feels great because after learning I have ASD I finally gave myself permission to enjoy what I enjoy regardless of what society tells us. So now I’m just over here with my stuffies, watching cartoons 💕

I used to have a donkey just like yours and I brought it everywhere, even when it was raining outside I walked in the rain with him. But then he just disappeared, I think I forgot him at the train or something but I loved him a lot! Great video! Keep up the good work!

I was so happy when you mentioned Alice in Wonderland! That's exactly how I describe autism to the college kids I lecture for. It's a very accurate discription of how I feel on a regular basis; lost, confused, and three steps behind. I bring my little handmade stuffed dragon with me everywhere because he makes me feel safe, and I've never particularly cared who saw him. My therapist loves him.

I am never without a plush. Either a large bear or a large tube-shaped tiger. I've been able to hide the tiger in """professional" situations by wrapping it in a fancy wrap. It put it on the arm rest of my wheelchair, so he just looks like a normal arm support. If the situation isnt "appropriate", we make do. The large plush bear is weighted as well, roughly 8 pounds. I cope by carrying my dolls around, but I do feel afraid having them around other people. I'm afraid that people are looking at me strange and judging me. This video helps me, though. Thank you for posting this.

A few years ago my parents got my sister a turtle for Christmas so since then we’ve just got her turtle themed stuff usually on Christmas or birthdays like trinkets or earrings

I'm Julian. I just wanted to tell you that I have the same fanatical devotion to stuffies. They are my brothers, my sisters, and one of my key antidepressive measures since I have no organic brothers and sisters and I have clinical depression and other things.

OK, now you got me crying from "super powers," when you say, "I'm different, not less." That hit it right on the head. I remember being completely withdrawn when I was little, and tactile was everything. Now I'm almost 70, and soft tactile things are still just as important to me. My story is I apparently was abused when I was about 5.

Your video really made me smile:). I like the flowers in your hair and you have a fun loving camera presence:). I am a bit older than you and I collect Teddy Bears. I have also become interested in Vintage Toys from my Childhood which would be the 70s and 80s. I do not have the disorder that you do, but I started becoming interested in collecting Teddy Bears and Vintage Toys when I started suffering from chronic physical pain. As for Tags on things, I too as an Adult, do not like to remove Tags on stuffed animals. I started not removing Tags while collecting Ty Toys with the nice poems and birthdays inside the Ty Tags. I would encourage you to continue to make more videos, especially Toy Videos. It would be cool if you could do some videos on Holly Hobbie Dolls, Strawberry Shortcake Dolls, and Smurfs. Also, Do you have Stieff Stuffed Animals? I personally do not because they are too expensive, but they are highly collectable and high quality in the craftsmanship. Also, check out "Toy Addict" Videos on You Tube, I think you would enjoy them! Nice, video:).

I'm 26 and I still sleep with stuffed animals am I normal are you even still sleep with a nightlight because I still kind a have a hard time sleeping at night I guess you could say I'm a big baby I have extremely sensitive teeth and you know what I found out the teething rings are great for sensitive teeth especially when you freeze them and start sucking on them I'm also a very picky eater I have texture sensitivity especially when it comes to lots of foods that's why I eat puréed baby food on my rice noodles I know I'm really weird I mainly do it for the veggies and some fruits because I have a hard time with digesting things I also like stuffed animals because they're great for my sensitive skin yes I have baby sensitive skin at 26

I used to love taking my dolls out with me when I go somewhere, but when I did, people would always touch them, and I wouldn't know how to ask them not to touch the dolls. So, I just stopped taking the dolls out with me.

Me and Prince the toad are watching this right now I actually feel like my teddies are alive and I speak to them and make a voice in my head as if they were taking back I also bring mine to school and only me and my 2 other autistic friends are allowed to bring them into class I'm 13 but it makes me really happy Also my teachers and my parents are very supportive and even talk to them too Of course there are people who make fun of me and be mean to my teddies but I stand up for them

The funny thing is that over the years i have been feeling more and more down because i want to be an adult and independant but it dousn't seem to work. Alot of my stuffed animals are in the attic in boxes because of our move but now i seem to realise that i realy miss them. Just having fluffy animals to cuddle. I even got a stuffed lamb from my boyfriend when wr started dating 11 years ago and i sleep with it every night. The night's that i didn't have it with me i would be nerves and feel lonely. I just need to hold something when im sleeping. That does it. Im gonna get my stuffed animals from upstairs soon, give them a wash and just enjoy my stuffed animals! This also happend because it always felt like people were making fun of me so i tried to seem strong and untouchable but in the end i made myself frail and fragile.

35 years later I still have the raggedy ann doll that sat on my bed and slept with me. The only embarassing thing for me is that her face is mostly rubbed away since the eyes nose and mouth were sewn on thread and I slept on her face like it was a pillow for so many years.

I'm autistic and I have a baby doll and someone said you are to old to have a doll baby !!!! It makes me upset because people don't under stand what do I have to do pant them a picture???

Also, I'm the opposite with tags. I take all the tags off of everything, even the tags that are sewn on. The textures bug me, especially if they don't match the texture of the rest of the item.
