Just received the Froggy from Dr Brattle. His review of the Froggy is spot on as always. Dr B is the real deal, the genuine article. The watch is actually quite nice. The case shape like a Seiko 62MAS. Under a loupe, dial material looks a little plasticky but overall the watch looks and feels much better than any Seiko watch of similar price. Readibility of the black dial is poor, but it reminded me of a stealthy watch. Some people might like it that way. Once again, thank you Dr B.

Great review. As I expected from the photos, this color version has bad legibility. Comparing it with Seiko and Orient watches is very very sophisticated touch, and it speaks a lot. The bracelet and the case is good news. The only reason I wouldn't buy this watch is the size. I would love it at 39mm, but maybe it would have problems with readability.

Fortunately I have a condom eating pet frog, so nothing on my nightstand...well, almost nothing. Great review as usual!

Nice frog thumbnail. Very tactical. Shame about the dial and crystal when they got the other parts right. I like mecha-quartz for a basic watch, but I'm glad you said it -- it's a dumb movement for a chronograph. A sweeping minute counter makes the chrono function essentially useless because you can't read the elapsed time on a tiny subdial.

dr. mr. clean fails to address the frog in the room. it's almost impossible to time anything in 1/10 of a second increments on a chrono. all those dials are just for show. if you need to time something, buy a freakin' digital watch, ok?

Rolex was never the arbiter of good taste, only pretends. Makes sense. If you seek to have your balls sucked by other men then Rolex is the watch for you.

That watch is horrible, I'd take a pannini design mecaQ over that any day Doc. Very aggressive opening salvo you gave us too, if I may say. Keep up the good work 👍
