Nope....arsenal missed timber through long term injury ~ when he is on form, his combative physicality & his speed would have nullified the danger of leroy sane's dribbling. Watch the community shield between arsenal and man city and u will see how timber snuffed out city on the left side with his well timed interceptions & blocks as well as his penetrating runs...this is what arsenal is missing when playing against bayern and unfortunately tat was how bayern exploited arsenal on the left side

​@@johnlau6749 it could go wrong because arteta knows that zinchenko even though he has creativity to attack and pass through small gaps of spaces but he is also susceptible to being exploited in defence and that is where leroy sane will take advantage. Sane is very dangerous when you let him have the ball, he has experience playing for man city under guardiola and his dribbling, passing and shooting can hurt arsenal badly. Arteta had to play somebody to nullify the threat from sane and tats why he felt tomiyasu's physicality is the best to combat against Sane's wizardry.

As much I criticize Tuchel, I will praise him on last night, we had three players out, sane was on pain killers, he literally nullified Arsenal players, it’s like he studied Artita’s tactics from A to Z. Arsenal is a strong team but Tuchel with all the obstacles in Bayern’s formation proved to be a tactical genius, if Bayern were more efficient they would’ve won three nil, and now most English media trying to shadow Bayern’s performance, what a shame! as Bayern fans I really admire Arsenal and what they reached, Mia San Mia

If Arsenal were efficient they would have led ,Martinelli missed a clear chance. At the Emirates Bayern were outplayed and Arsenal made mistakes that gifted them easy goals...It was Arsenal's inexperience that killed them, they should have killed that game at home...also that Martinelli chance would have killed that game

Even Arteta nullified Tuchel, Kane was useless on Wednesday, he was getting the ball as he did in the first leg...there was nothing much in that game. Arsenal didn't have any attacking threat in the second half. Bayern's goal could have been prevented but as I said it's inexperience.That was a very close game but experience won it at the end of the day.

What even baffles me is why Zinchenko not start in both legs. Everyone in the stadium knows kiwior and tomiyasu are no threat to Bayern by any means. If Zinchenko is on the pitch, then will cause issues on Bayern's right side because already got 3vs2 and Sane got dilemma: either Sane press Zinchenko but leave midfielder open for a pass or focus on the midfield but giving Zinchenko too much time and space to progress a pass. As a result, Bayern's right side defensive shape have been disrupted due to Sane's dilemma

I was surprised that Tuchel let Mazraoui defend Munich's left side against Saka; but putting the defensively thinking Guerreiro next to him proved solid enough. The lack of an attacking left midfielder created an imbalance towards the Munich's right side (indirectly owed to the strength of Saka) where Sané had the advantage against Tomiyasu. Simply put, Munich's right side was stronger than Arsenal's left with Kimmich deciding the game.

Because Davies performance this season and last season has been abysmal. In the first game he gave away the first goal for Arsenal and had trouble defending Saka too.

If Arteta gave Tuchel possession and mid blocked to low blocked he would have survived.

People often think that bayern are in their worst form but they are not seeing that leverkusen played much better. If you see the amount of points bayern got this season and compare it to last season, there is not much difference . Infact they are on path of getting more points compared to last 3 seasons

Another issue was that the wingers where way off their games, when the middle of the pitch is so congested, wide players really need to shine, But both Martinelli and Saka had really poor games, Saka didn't manage to beat his man on a single occasion, even when he had them isolated. I think Martinelli managed it once. So neither team could really play down the middle, but Bayern wide players had much more success.

Just watch the game and look at player positions, build-up play and their formation on the pitch. Analyze how the opposition reacts to the ball movement and if they look to press aggressively or wait for the ball to come closer. If you pay close attention to things then the picture will become clear

Just look at the starting XI for both teams, analyse the attack and defensive structure or both teams and just watch how the teams attack to try and score. Most importantly don't just watch where the ball goes.

HAH-Vitz. Think of the musician Lenny Kravitz. His name's not Kra-VEEEETZ, is it? Just pronounce Havertz so that it rhymes with Kravitz and you're a lot closer. I know, all the UK commentary does it wrong, so it's an easy mistake to make. Still, as a German, it drives me a little nuts every time. We have names that are really hard to pronounce, I know.
