I had a similar experience, I took the cover off my old Mustang which was in storage for at least 25 years, I looked in the center console and there was a whitesnake cassette tape. Took me back to high school days.

I had pleasure to meet David once and he was perfect gentleman.

Love Whitesnake. That was one of my first tapes i bought back in 1987 or so.

Pete Townshend said he made more money in a year from licensing Who Are You to CSI than he made from sales of single since it was first released. He never recorded with Whitesnake. He toured with them after the 1987 album and did the music videos.

Tawny Kitaen's tongue in his ear was the subject of many a bean diddling. He could still get it.

YES! Met him once in 87. We were talking like we knew each other for years. He even signed my album which I carried around under my arm the whole V.I.P. Party in Chicago. Just super fantastic guy!!!

not taking anything away from Coverdale, I think he's one of the greatest singers ever...but.....John Sykes.

@@ccchanel8171 good on him Coverdale’s an asshole. Sykes changed that band and was the pure essence of their success and Coverdale couldn’t have him taking the limelight. I’ve heard that Coverdale was making all these bullshit excuses to put off recording so if I was Sykes I’d be getting pissed Off as well and even worse even Sykes did go behind his back Coverdale couldn’t even face him to tell him he was fired, instead when Sykes went to confront him about it Coverdale ran away like a little girl.

@@cozycooke2040 how do you know, were you there? The record label chose Coverdale over Sykes. If Sykes was that brilliant, he would have been a huge success on his own. He’s no Eric Clapton, Jack White, Kurt Cobain or Jimi Hendrix. Whitesnake is Coverdale’s band. Sykes could have easily done a solo projects until Coverdale was able record again.

how smart was DAVE to say no to TONY IOMMI, i can't see any connection musically. TONY said he had asked COVERDALE many times because he was the best around, even he did before the 1987 album. THE ROCK album sounds really great vocal upfront because he is the leader who would complain?

Love his sexy voice. He's still handsome too.
