Making Sydney so proud
Solo sessions in big waves and stormy seas has a unique eerie feeling. But that rock jump looked so sketchy, fck that lol.
This guy is a special kind of Dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miss when everyone had fun nicknames. This guy is just so genuine and down to earth

Great story.. i moved too bronte in. -90.. it was still/ / prity empty.. in mornings .. i surfed. It big alone.. nothing like /that. On shore .. thats the biggest ive seen it/. Amazing . That jionts not easy over 8:/10 Im stoked too this. Respect go out all bronte crew. I saw richard cram do a job.. on tamma …. Off its nut x ❤❤
Big stormy surfs are sometimes the best! Always less people. Hoping one day to do a mission to Sydney for some decent size waves 🤙

Insane! 🤙🤙🤙
When there's a helicopter looking out for you,, you know it's big
Incredible self control! Impressive
A bit crazy. Actually it might feel like a relief when your board breaks, because you have to go back.
Oh yeah agreed the longer you watch the more excuses you make not to jump in. Don't have the experience of such large waves but it's the same deal,
Sick, good chat- its hard to describe the mental battle in bigger surf to those that dont even surf. When ya see a big, dark lump on the horizen & the pack gets serious & starts heading out is one thing...but to be out on ya own in that- strewth, Taco & his big balls!

Couldn’t have said it better! And I second Taco and his massive balls!

At least when theres a few crew out you can gauge size and know what you getting into. That dark lump on the horizon is 10x worse when youve gone exploring, found a place that looks good with no one around and after timing your paddle discovering those sets are WAYYY bigger and heavier than you thought from shore 😯
legend
only him out in a city with 4mio people, nuts

Confused - did he just get a close out or did he get the wave shown at the beginning of the vid?

He did get two waves that day mate! That first one was a different angle for the video. If you jump to Instagram and check out @taco2024 he has it on there from a third angle. It’s crazy!
So insane!! You should get mcguigan on to tell the story of that deadies wave

Good idea mate!! I’ve got a couple of people to get done this week, but I’ll get in touch with him and see if we can make it happen!
My past family, use to own bronti beach, and my grandma, use to let people off the streets to, stay for pitence. As accommodation. And from Moorebank to bronti beach, we owned half of all that land in between.and so my family Lost it all from an Uncle that gambled it away, while family was on a business trip and he was left in charge of the business at the time. Now I'm a soul searcher and much more. And yet that's the only place I haven't, been able to go and even see in real life. It saddens me
This reminds me of when I saw Brad Mayes out at HUGE storm Bronte in the 70s . . it was impressive . .

100%!
Try catch a wave four footy feilds out from chronulla breakwall, on the right. And from there, over all reef, all the way in. On a small board. I got to the bottom of the wave, by the time I was 50m from the rock pool. So when I looked back at the wave, it was, three stories high easy. I couldn't look and twist and look up high enough, to just been able to see the rear top of the wave . It was the only thing that brought me in. On a closed day and brother watching and another 100 watching me. And had me hand up for any rescue. But know one came. Thanks chronalla
Mental...😳😳😳😳🌊🏄
Wild there’s no footage, gives a mysterious allure to the whole thing though. What a psycho
