Hello Taco! I'm Brazilian, I'm 41 years old, I grew up in the 80s and 90s and even though I don't know you, I only discovered you and your talent today, 04/09/2024, I confess that I have the feeling that I already know you. His songs are nostalgic and bring feelings, smells and childhood memories. It was wonderful meeting you! Receive my hug and affection from your newest Brazilian fan!
The 80s funk. The tap dancing. The makeup and costumes. They really set the vibe of this fantastic song, if you read this Taco, you should know that this was a masterpiece and such a great song that I know listen to on loop, it has also become a five nights at Freddy’s song now, if you didn’t know, it’s becoming a part of modern pop culture! @@BobDobbs681 dancer here! Considering how long this song is, I'd probably say at least a week learning the steps. Since they are considered professional dancers, they probably are in the studio for almost a full day, so probably break it down into sections and then review it a couple times for memory. Afterwards, they'll spend another couple weeks "cleaning" so the movements are sharp and put together. If I'd have to guess at least a month for the initial learning. Then spend the time leading up to the show rehearsing it a few times.

"Puttin' On the Ritz" is a song written by Irving Berlin. He wrote it in May 1927 and first published it on December 2, 1929. It was registered as an unpublished song on August 24, 1927, and again on July 27, 1928. It was introduced by Harry Richman and chorus in the musical film Puttin' On the Ritz (1930). According to The Complete Lyrics of Irving Berlin, this was the first song in the film to be sung by an interracial ensemble. The title derives from the slang expression "to put on the Ritz", meaning to dress very fashionably! This expression was itself inspired by the opulent Ritz Hotel in London! 1983 BABY!

This is one of those songs that can be listened to and sung by every generation. It's that clever--and that good.
