A couple of months back I had installed the Alpha S1 tyres from Apollo on my Yamaha Fz. The experience has been great so far, be it the highways or the city rides or even off roads, the ride is amazing and it gives lot of confidence to the rider. The Apollo Alpha S1 series is a great tyre for bikes like Yamaha Fz, Cbr 250, Pulsar 200 Ns and other bikes of that segment.
The Apollo Alpha S1 is a Dual Compound tyre, i.e Softer compound on the edges which gives you better cornering capabilities and harder on the center for better life of the tyre. This is one of the rarest technology found on tyres made for a bike of this segment.

Hi Bulu, What front tyre would you pair this one with? I'm planning a change for my Gixxer SF and this one seems really decent but Apollo doesn't have a front tyre in this pattern. The H1 can be fitted too but that seems to be a bit of an overkill. Please advise! :)

does s1 tyre create squeezing sound? how is grip on off road and wet road? any issue you faced with this tyre?
is it the same Tire as you have shown in the video. The tire tread in the link looks much different as seen in the video. Even i wanna install it on my 10-year-old FZ. And this video was very helpful. One more thing i wanted to know. Did you change the front tire too??? Thanks

For gixxer 250 go for alpha H1... For gixxer 150 alpha s1 is far enough. There is considerable diff in tyre quality and grip. Alpha H1 is a W rated tyre. ie its max speed is 270+ which is not needed for a 150cc bike. so If your bike is 150cc go for alpha s1. Im using it in my gixxer 150.

@bulu , Purchased from amazon at 3k and fixed. But, feels a sound on rolling. Both on gravel and tarmac.. Tyre pressures are normal(32PSI). Did u have any similar feeling?
