I drive Uber and read how blue blockers are probably the best driving glasses, got a cheap $20 pair off amazon and loved'em. Really cuts glare and relieves eye fatigue. Between cheap blue blockers or cheap polarized lenses go blue.

Thanks for the in-depth review! I have a set of Tac flashlights and they're great, and I wanted to see what the glasses were like. This confirmed my negative suspicions about these glasses.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes at a fairly young age, my eyes are steel blue and once they healed the sun was sooooooooooo much brighter, well, I found out that the docs don't tell you that this will happen so I'm always lookin for darker sun glasses, but now that I started riding a sport touring bike again I'm looking for not too expensive Polarized lenses as they do completely get ride of all the glare, if these are polarized, they are good if not. Got my last pair at Waly world, $15, bet there as good as these and they float.

I bought the yellow lens Tac Glasses and.they are amazing!! I love them specially during low light conditions... it's worth the money for me!

For a great pair of polarized sunglasses, try Maui Jim. I've managed to keep the same pair for 19 years, although I've broken and Super Glued the frame (twice), scratched the lenses, dropped them, stepped on them, had someone accidentally kick them (when they fell onto a concrete floor in a store), etc. They've been to different countries, states, and cities. They were the best money I ever spent on sunglasses. I'll buy another pair, once these finally expire, but that may be another 20 years or more.

Thanks for the review. I just ordered the blue lens glasses (better glare resist and scratch resistance). I'm very curious about the Sniper Vision glasses. The commercial shows the guy bending and twisting the glasses. Are you going to do a review on Sniper Vision? Thanks for all the reviews!

Hey Steve, I think Sniper Vision is still being test marketed, but if I ever find them, I'll definitely do a review and compare to Tac Glasses.

I've never heard anything whether they have any UV protection or about the warning on the box about toxic material in the glasses. Any answers on this?

Your right those corners seem a bit pointy near your nose.. See if you can find a pair of AmberVision Sun Glasses, you can even wear them while driving, which also helped with on coming car lights.

Charlie is the reason I am here.

Thank you for the honest test. The commercials now seem borderline disingenuous. You show the reality, not the hype. It may seem a bit much, but we really need and appreciate your channel. (subscribed)

I’m looking for glasses for baseball. I want something that will get rid of the sun when I’m trying to catch a pop-fly, but, at the same time make the ball still visible and not darker. Would these do the trick?

I bought a pair just to see if they worked I ware glasses and they fit ok over them I have found that they do block sun glare if your not driving or out in direct sunlight

Are they impact resistant? With name like tactic glasses I would hope so. I can buy 99 cent safety glasses that are ANSI Z87 rated

I've had a pair or Mowi Jims for many years and polarized lenses are the way to go. They don't interfere with colors and are dark enough to drive toward the sun and still see where I'm going.

Are these the same glasses "Tanto" said are good?

I have photo sensitive eyes. I get really bad headaches from glare. Refection from the chrome or back windshield of a car and the sun. Anyone know the best sunglasses for me? I need ones that I can wear over my prescription glasses.

Go to an optometrist and get some sunnies made up to your prescription. Best money I ever spent.

I've seen the commercials and I just saw these for 19.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond and I wanted to get a review before buying them (For some reason my phone NEVER works in BB&B's , total dead zone ) - Anyway I tend to look up review with any of the "As Seen On TV" stuff, usually in my experience 99% of these products are absolute crap. Perhaps its not false advertising, these seem to be just typical polarized sunglasses..nothing "hi tech" new or special. And very similar to a few pairs I picked up in the past at Ross, or TJ Maxx for 9.99-12.99. I would think better quality plastic frame as well. The "Columbia" brand design is similar to these TacGlasses, not a fan of the design as well. I have tg same issue with the bottom lens poking into the upper side cheeks, side of nose also. But these kill the glare reflecting on my windshields, pretty much eliminate very bad glare off oncoming cars with sun glare on their windshields very well. But thanks, you saved me $20 bucks with this review. For anyone else...seriously check Ross, Marshall's TJ Maxx..maybe CVS, Rite Aid (Foster Grants) for much cheaper in price sunglasses that are much better quality and do the same darn thing as these things (make sure they are labeled "Polarized") And I used to associate the brand Bell and Howell with great products, but I see these on everything now and they are associated with junk, pretty sad. I WOULD love if someone came out with a pair of night glasses, just clar lenses - but they literally kill off the insane super bright headlights I see on some of these cars. Some LED, HID is one thing...but I'm seeing more and more cars all pimped out now using these "Ice / Polar Blue" super bright intense headlights...my god, those literally blind me, how are these street legal??!

I don't wear sunglasses , but those are nice James. They do look a little on the wider side but nice. And yes I could tell that the clarity is decent on them out doors when u put them to the test against the camera. Your always going the extra mile when reviewing these As Seen On TV items James to keep us entertained. I thank u! Great review!!😎

I've been wearing Maui Jims for over 16 years now and bought a pair of $40 Maui Jims at Costco one time to have as a "knock-about" pair when I work. They worked, like the pair you reviewed, but were no way comparable to being the same as my more expensive MJ pair. Ultimately, like your review conclusions, they worked but you do get what you pay for and, hence, will not buy another cheap pair again. Your review confirms my decision. Thanks for the good review!

about 10 years ago wal mart sold some fishing and hunting glasses called Wrapps and you would know it when I broke my pair they didn't sell them anymore and I looked everywhere for them, they we're the best ones I ever had

What about stripping a computer monitors polarization and using that so only u can see it... They did it in the commercial

Got a pair in a desperate attempt to deal with light sensitivity from keratoconus. This guy is spot on. These work better then the walmart sunglasses (based on the testing card either there’s more to these glasses or the “Polarized glasses i previously had were fakes” I don’t like how it leaves the bottom of my field of vision untouched and I did get a sense of cheaply made hell they couldn’t even make the ziplock bag that they had the cloth bag and cloth in right to be able o close as the zips were misaligned lol. These did treat my light sensitivity better then my previous pairs. Haven’t gotten much of a chance to try out on glare. He was brave to have tried these at night as they do tend to make dark things darker then usual. If you don’t mind the design these should be a decent purchase vs anything to be found at walmart.

If you need more 'contrast' in your vision when out in bright sunlight, my optometrist recommended BROWN tinted glasses rather than the blueish tinted ones. With ageing eyes, like mine, that definitely improved my (somewhat lack of contrast) vision that I suffer from with my 'ageing' eyes when driving etc. out on a bright cloudy day or in the sun.

I'm still trying to secure a copy of Sniper Vision, but they look really similar. If those end up in stores, you can be sure I'll be comparing them.

I was glad to see these on you and as you pointed out, I too don't care for the way they angle up. I am researching these for my motorcycle and it's important that ALL the wind is kept away from my eyes.. I have/wear a pair of Ironman ones..that are nothing special but the best part is the coverage, it even accepts the tops of my cheeks...Does that make sense?, in other words, it has a bevel at the bottom of the lens so the WHOLE bottom of the glasses touch my face...no wind whatsoever...but again, they a cheapo's...no "anti-glare" "not polarized" and unless it is very sunny, they do darken my view...... but the best fit.

Tac Glasses were falsely claiming their glasses actually are military glasses. I slammed them for the claim, informing them that they do not have any form of ballistic rating and they do not appear on the authorized protective eyewear list. They seem to have stopped making their claim.

How do these compare to an oakley pair?

I'll stick with my Wiley X's and my Oakleys. Good review, though.

Save money then spend money for a pair of pilot glasses. More durable frame and lenses, but I don't think you can drive at night with then, so back up in the air on what pair?

He's wearing a different design than the infomercial. The ones there have a more wraparound design. You notice on the lady wearing them "on the trail" near the end of the ad.

Officer: James do you know why I stopped you? James: Wearing sunglasses at night while driving? Officer: No, filming yourself and talking into a camera while driving...

Interesting effect on the infomercial where you can see an Eagle on the computer screen but these apparently suck overall.

I wish I saw this before I purchased. They are uncomfortable (points) too dark, and seem cheap. I got the night lenses for an extra $10 which seem pretty good BUT I can't get the original lenses out to change them. Gonna get my $$ back

The shape which most people don't like is must have for operators as it allows you to glance down and around without the glasses interfering. Or changing what you are looking at/for. Unless you been there no you won't like them. Look at some troops in the CZ at there glasses. Differegt brands all that same shape. There is a reason. Bon appetitt.

Should give that camera a pair for when it is in the car. Other glasses could be deadly in a "Tactical" situation.

I use to have a pair of the hd blockers you know the ones where everything pops...lol.....i liked them until one day one of tge lens fell out.

I rang the infomercial scammers and found out that they are just a normal pair of polarized sunglasses.

I remember my AmberVision sun glasses, those were my favorite... until they disappeared.

Ha, I am another one that was going to ask for this. Sounds like they are iffy at best, so I think I will skip them. Thanks James!

If you wanna fix the lens touching the nose problem you could either file the corners or wear them a little lower 👍

I don't think they were intended as a fashionable sunglass. more like polarized anti glare glasses. After seeing the commercial I almost ordered them instantly for fishing. If you never used polarized sunglasses for fishing you should consider it , you can see so much deeper with out the glare at the waters surface seriously.. after seeing this I probably will get these..

I got the blue pair I enjoyed using them and work as said. The others one wasn’t for me but the blue one is

I just wanted to say that I got two, the original and the blue lens. The color shift you see in the original is not there in the blue lens. The blue lens glasses keep colors true over the entire lens whereas the original distorts the crap out of colors. There are just typical polarized glasses. You can tell they are polarized from looking at a phone and turning the lens 90° and back. The screen will darken greatly in one of these directions. If you're trying to find it you can see your phone screen I have news for you.... Each phone manufacturer uses different displays and when wearing polarized glasses the visibility of the screen will depend on how the screen was manufacturer. Some will be visible and some won't. There is no way to tell if your phone will be visible unless you actually try the glasses with your specific phone. You may be able to find a video or review where someone has already tried these glasses on your phone but don't hold your breath on that. If your lucky your phone will have a diagonal pattern in the display meaning you can still see it in portrait and landscape such as my Nexus 6p display has. But my Asus Z500m is only visible in landscape and not portrait. Good luck everyone :)

Thanks for your review--I think it was very imortant to mention those two points touching your nose as that would drive me crazy and I agree the design is not appealing to me either as they should come down lower on the bottom outer edges. Seems like I can do without them.

if they are primarily for driving, design and quality doesnt matter...grab and put on when driving...done. unless the glare come up underneath with the uplift these are fine...

wow-they couldnt have styled those better? those lenses are bizarre as far as shape is concerned! I have some smith and wesson sunglasses that i got from tractor suply for $10 that far exceed these! Nice solid frames that go all the way around the lenses, grips on the "arms" and overall better coverage....

Former LV resident,now in Chicago,the sunlight here is different,those glasses might work great here because the glare is different,needless to say I won't buy them because of the design and how flimsy they're made..Thank you so much for the review now I don't have to waste my money..

If you want a really great pair of sunglasses? You should try enchroma glasses? They are expensive? They are 4 hundred dollars?

They look kind of weird to me. I mean, the shape reminds me of almost insect eyes. I had a pair of no glare glasses a few years ago. Gave me a headache to wear them. I'll stick with my $3 (on clearance) glasses from Target--20 years ago. They work well enough for my purposes. I'm pretty sure Hub will be asking if you've reviewed these as soon as he sees them. Thanks! :D
