I gave up on SNL a while back but this proves Aubrey's talent that she is so good, she can make it funny again. In all seriousness, I think she is probably one of the most underrated people out there. She is so quirky yet can pull off a serious role, comedy, psycho...pretty much anything without issue. This was her first appearance on SNL but I hope it's not her last.

@@GreenLine4444 - I used to love SNL years ago but when they stopped making fun of both sides of the political isle and became very left-leaning, it just really became unfunny. I have no problem poking fun of politicians and presidents...but it needs to go both ways. And if you look at the older SNL skits where they make fun of Bush and Clinton...and then contrast that to Trump, it's entirely different (and unfunny). And when they had many opportunities to fun on people on the left and still chose to do the same tired skits about Trump, it was painfully obvious they abandoned "fun" for "narrative". It was only recently they even dared poke fun at Biden and Harris...but those skits have an entirely different tone than the Trump skits. That is why I disagree about your comment about them being funny for many years. Not true for me. How long have you been watching SNL? I like the old original cast but my favorite was in the early 90's. Ferrell, Farley, Sandler, Hartman, Kattan...those were the peak years for me. In my opinion, it seemed their budget got bigger but the laughs got smaller around 2010. And aside from the obvious talent of Kristen Wiig, Kenan Thompson, and Kate McKinnon, the more modern cast was forgettable. Anyway, that's my take. And if they decide to focus more on other "funny" stuff instead of politics, it may be funny once again. But in my viewership, it used to always be funny with some skits not so great...but in the last 10 years, it's been the other way around with most skits not so great with an occasionally funny one. I loved this one with Aubrey...hopefully she comes back and hosts again some day.

@@dewrus2153 They've had a great cast for the last several years. And as far as them making fun of the right leaning/GOP-Republicans, that's because of the way the Republicans are now. They deserve to be made fun of. Donald Trump going around constantly lying about almost everything, and implying people should ingest bleach to fight the coronavirus, leaving a sick trail of scared Republicans in his wake. And the few responsible Republicans who do stand up to him, like Liz Cheney or Adam Kinzinger, the Republican party drives them off. Then there's Herschel Walker, who can barely string together a competent sentence. And when he does, that sentence is full of lies. Roy Moore, dating 14 year old girls. And now there's George Santos, he tells so many lies he is basically a pathological liar, even lying about his own mother dying in 9/11. And Ron DeSantis, walking garbage who is no better than Trump. Saturday Night Live is not making fun of Republican officials for simply being Republican - there would be no logic in that. They are making fun of them due to their questionable behavior, their idiocy in many situations, and their never wavering support of lies. Saturday Night Live also makes fun of Democrats when they do idiotic things. You just see more Republicans as the brunt of jokes because they have done way more idiotic things and shown some racist behavior since Trump came into politics in 2016. And why complain about SNL when there are lots of right-leaning media out there, including a whole network, Fox. If anyone doesn't like SNL being left-leaning, they don't have to watch it. Because I can assure you, I don't watch right-leaning media and TV shows full of lies. If I see anything with that garbage of a human Tim Allen on it, I turn the channel immediately. So my point is you don't have to watch SNL if you think they're too left-leaning; but obviously you are watching it, maybe because you do enjoy it. Republicans are being made fun of on SNL because they have allowed themselves to go down a lying, cheating, manipulative, trying-to-overthrow-the-government, bleach-drinking path who doesn't care how many mass shootings America sees, they still won't do anything about gun control. But yet they claim to love human life so much. In the future, if Democrats ever allow themselves to go down such a path, I am 100% sure SNL would be making fun of them too. They already make fun of Democrats, it's just that Republicans have grabbed most of the limelight when it comes to trashy behavior - Marjorie Taylor Greene or Lauren Boebert anyone. Besides, some of us like the political humor on SNL which is why we watch. So next time you think SNL is too left-leaning, remember there are organizations that counter that, like The New York Post, Drudge Report, Breitbart, The Hill, AZ Republic, and the biggest one of them, Fox.

This is the greatest sketch yet this season. It's got that ol' "SNL" flavor to it. I could picture this being done in the 70s and it would be funny.
