Tablo's version of this song made me want to learn Korean so I could understand all the Epik High's songs. I'm envy of people who get to appreciate his writing.

Tablo's words are so strong here. If you see, every raps of Tablo are really different than any other lyrics. Its the exact representation of heartache. Even in this mv, his expression and his way of rapping, showing his hate for the one who broke is heart is legit amazing. This is the reality. No sugar coating or anything.

Yesss I think it's the golden era, every week I look forward to the next YG singer that'll be featured in Epik High's music. Big bang, 2NE1, PSY, Epik High, AKMU, Lee Hi, WINNER, iKON. They work together to make music so much better. Even in return of superman we see their interactions with little Haru. Best memories.

Considering that not only did he grow up in Canada (is still Canadian citizen) and major in English at Stanford, but also did accelerated dual degree, won many honours and writing awards, and had been one of the top students in English writing at a top American university (his book of short stories has quite a few of his award winning writings from his Stanford days), he has better English than most native born Americans put together. No offence to the people who are genuinely surprised and mean no harm, but it really bothers me when people whose English is probably half as good as his go: "Wow, I'm so impressed! He speaks real American English!" As if he isn't supposed to be able to do that just because he is Korean. Other than that, great to hear yet another epicness from Tablo.

This is not simply a cover of a song. This is a song of its own that is inspired by the original. Even the message of the song feels different from the original. Yes, they are both about heartbreak but they have different perspective.

As much as I love Taeyang and his original version, Tablo's cover of this song is the one I keep listening to over and over again these past few years.

I love Taeyang’s original version but Epik High made it into something that I can’t explain. It’s just overwhelming 🥺 that I can’t keep track of how many times I listen to this everyday.

I just noticed Tablo's genius wordplay in the beginning. "You're the victor in this pageantry. But the only trophy you deserve: catastrophe. " I thought it was just a normal rhyming line, but I now I realize he said "trophy" not only because of pageantry, but because it was a play on the word catasTROPHY. Shit. Scholars could analyze Epik High's lyrics and get a million things out of them, it's kind of sad most of his songs are in Korean, and I wouldn't really be able to show them to a lot of my teachers and friends in NA.

I've literally listened to every single Epik High song for all albums, including the ones in Eternal Morning, Fever's End, and Remixing the Human Soul. I'm a huge fan haha. Thanks for the suggestion though. Their english songs are really great but most of my favorites are in Korean. :( Notable ones for me are Fallen Blossoms, Pieces of You, and Amor Fati.

As a person who dont understand korean, I finally get the meaning of Eyes, Nose, Lips. I had initially thought that taeyang was haunted and remorse by a loss of a girl and all he could think was about those lovely eyes, nose and lips.... but i guessed inm wrong. It was never love.

King KpX if you have checked on Tablo's interview he said that he gave his own version to taeyang as a gift and compose his own lyrics. That's why it's different

2021 . Lyrics are deep. Who broke Tablo's heart? 💔 Taeyang covering his own song. That's definitely goal.

Can someone take me back to this golden era of YG family? The interactions, friendship, YG artists hyping the award shows, concerts. I want to see the interactions between their idols, just like the old times, them covering each others song, them attending the awards shows and enjoying the performances (not just following choreo), them in one concert (after this pandemic). Tablo represents the cold dark side of love and Taeyang the warm bright side of love.

2022 and still one of my favorite Tablo collab mv. I went to Epik High's recent US tour w Woosung in April and they did not disappoint.

Besides ancient English poets, Tablo is seriously the first person that makes me feel English can produce fabulous poetry......Rapper poet, poet rapper....masterpiece.

what I like about Tablo the most is that he's able to write good lyrics in both English and Korean!! How genius is that

I still come back for this every now and then.

I can't believe that lisa of blackpink used to cover this iconic version of eyes, nose, lips during her trainee days. her taste in rap songs is just- 🤯🤯🤯

He has a high level of education. His educational background is stanford graduate school of English literature. I think with this scholar, He can write the amazing lyrics. It was a mix of soulful lyrics, and hip-hop beats. The lyrics are beautiful and the music is expertly crafted. Many people will think that the song lyrics were pathetically touching. That lyric and song still stuck in my head.

He went to Stanford and got an English Masters in 3 years if I'm not mistaken. He's also Korean-Canadian so there's no need to be surprised at his English!

This is so powerful. The way Tablo reworked the lyrics and Taeyang's vocals at the end are perfection. Right up there with Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" for best angry love/hate songs. I'm loving Tablo and Epik High and have them all over my playlist these days.

ahhh this is the version of EYES, NOSE, LIPS that heard years ago while watching MYX A MASTERPIECE .

The moment Taeyang appears and sang with Tablo, it was just amazing... giving me goosebumps. This cover is gold.

c'mon people. growing up in an English-speaking country doesn't mean that you can speak good English, especially a well-organized and structured one. Look at those girls on the street speaking with thousands of "like" in every single sentence Tablo gets my respect!

Mr. Genius lyricist and Mr. Soulful in one song? Perfection at its finest. I also can't stress how I LOVE the fact that YG made all the covers so far so different from the original yet so perfect. Ingenious!

Coming back to this version after the news about Taeyang and Jimin. This English version was insane! I showed it to my boyfriend and he learn the chorus immediately. He sing it since then (2014). Thanks for this version!!
