if with heavy work you mean you have to before a screen many hours making calls etc. tab already do that, ofc if you work w tech or photography/graphic in a professional way its better something more heavy but in that case a desktop computer is better than both laptop or tab

Tablets are no replacement of laptops especially when one person wants to do some actual work

I made this mistake of buying a tablet when my older laptop broke down. Please don't buy a tablet as a replacement of a laptop. Ever. A tablet is a great device that compliments a computer and phone perfectly, it's great for reading and media consumption. But it simply does not have the same functionality as a laptop. Using the Google suite or MS office is an absolute hassle, you can't run simple web programmes like Wordpress CMS, it's not great to learn a technical skill on like design or coding. Just get a laptop. Please.

Tablet = exceptional creative/writing/research work while on the go. Nothing can beat a tablet in that regard, and I mean nothing. Not even the macbook air or 14" ROG Zephyrus can beat an S9 Ultra's or M1/M2/M4 Ipad's portable light multitasking abilities. I can have multiple windows up at once and work on nearly all of them at once with the flick of my s pen, and I can do it all day and into the next without having to recharge. I leave all the heavy work to my 4080 Laptops and PC's. S9 Ultra would explode if it tried doing what they could. It's puny soc just isn't all that powerful. M4 Ipad could probably do it though if it didn't overheat.

Tablets are EXCELLENT for book reading, mobile gaming, portable movie watching, web browsing and emailing. Laptops are EXCELLENT for portable heavy work, heavy data management, lots of typing, desktop on the go, and access to full software support to go.

You can get Office on tablet too, and you can always use add an external keyboard to it. I would play with both and see which one you like better.

@studihana6143 if you have a Samsung Galaxy S series phone, then you already have Samsung Dex. A Chromebook Plus laptop with Google Docs is for people who do all their work online and that laptop is virus free. If you're working with programs, then go with Windows laptop, Samsung S7 fe tablet is good as well 😊
