As I am exploring your channel with more and more videos, I am realizing how much less I know about Tableau. While the official documentation gives every minute detail, the way you explain and put across the point; particularly the demos, makes the whole difference. Thanks a lot for this series! Stay blessed! 😊👍

I really appreciate your note, Vijay, and I am very happy to hear you're finding the videos useful 🙂
This is fantastic material. I am taking a introductory Udemy course for tableau and the instructor skipped dimension and measure as if its general knowledge and it left me scratching my head. You mam made it crystal clear. Please keep such amazing content coming, subscribed!

*_Excellent_* video Donabel! I've been using Tableau for a few months, but had never got a handle on these _vital_ concepts. In just 10 minutes, with such concrete examples, you've blown away the mental fog that surrounded my shaky understanding. Thank you so much! (I'll be sharing this video at work and on social channels, as I'm sure many other people are in the same boat.)

Thank you so much for your feedback Craig, I appreciate it. I actually have been thinking about this for a while (since these are the first topics I present to a new batch of students) .. and I created another video around the same 3 topics. Probably a review / expansion of the previous one. Not sure which take was better though, last year's or the most recent one :)
This is amazing . As you said the trial and error can really be resolved if the concept is clear, Thanks belle .
Very well explained videos. Tableau documentation just puts me to sleep. Your content is really great.

Hi, Your videos are amazing, I am learning a lot! Do you have any idea how to calculate figures from sabe columns? Eg. I have a collumn (accounts) with Net Sales and CoGs, and other column with amounts. How could I calculate a rate cogs/net sales? In my understanding we can do it easily between columns but not between lines. Thank you
Very well explained ! thank you :)

Hello, could you please make a video about the extract? What is the difference between the .hyper and .twb files? What if we make updates in the extract, how is data being saved/updates in the extract, which of the two files is being updated if a change is made. I still get a little confused...For example I am connected to a DB which is huge, and in order to make Tableau faster, I am creating an extract. I do the charts/dashboards in it and once I am done, i want to connect to the live connection. Then for example I want to make additional filtering on the extract ..scenarios like this. Thank you!

What is measure name and measure values ?
@sqlbelle

Thanks Shaik. Measure Names and Measure Values are the collection of labels and actual numeric values for your measures. Here is a reference, but it's a great question. I'll try to create a video that explains them as well help.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/datafields_understanddatawindow_meavalues.htm
