Pls explain about startwith and endwith and trim functions in string and how to create parameters for startwith..

is there is no split oprtion or transform option in tableau 10.2??

Just for a note-- when we use split , tableau will use trim function inside.

Hi, Thanks for your video!, I've a scenario where there are 2 data in a row for a Column A for a ID with a semicolon as a seperator. I need to consider them both (Say for eg, use split field and get them in a seperate split fields), I need to use them to a Pie chart Metric, say if a row has confusion;other, i need to make Table add 1 to confusion and add 1 to Other in that Piechar. How do i do this? I'm not able to get them via Calculated fields, it adds either to confusion or to Other. Please advise.
