Day 2 of The Star Championships features another four Group 1 races including one of Australia’s highest rated races, the $5 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
It has an honour roll of racing’s greatest champions over many decades including Winx, who won the race three times including her unforgettable farewell run in 2019.
In recent years it has also been a race targeted with success by international runners from the UK and Japan.
The Group 1 $2 million Schweppes Sydney Cup, Group 1 $1 million The Star Australian Oaks and Group 1 $1 million Grainshaker Vodka Queen of The Turf Stakes add to another huge card offering a total of $12.7 million prizemoney.
