Complete disassembly of the Chinese fountain pen Ta Tung 717, sliding piston filled, for subsequent cleaning with warm water, dishwasher detergent and a toothbrush. In this case we have helped ourselves with olive oil to previously soften the joints greas. Once the cleaning is done, the piston and thread of the nozzle are lubricated with silicone grease, which we will apply with a toothpick, to guarantee its watertightness and smoothness of operation.
This process can be used for deep cleaning of parts that have not been used for many years and whose lubricants have broken down and lost effectiveness.
