The beginning of her tauolunga has a very Samoan Siva vibe..she's beautiful and her tauolunga was beautiful too....you typically don't see those moves in traditional Tongan dance. It was an interesting mix of Tongan and Samoan styles.

The Tongan Tau’olunga is derived from the Samoan Tauolunga which means yes we use moves which are the same . For example in the beginning she did the fakataupasi but she did the Samoan version which I think is called the fakakaupaki. You can tell because the Tongan fakataupasi is more subtle whereas the Samoan one is more faster like the one she did .

@@nancyfifita2395 the samoan fa'akaupaki can be slow or fast depending if it was a taualuga or a siva samoa which in english is ' Samoan dance' meaning reffering to a taualuga

I'm not sure what elements of this tauolunga would make it Samoan in style. It was filmed in Vava'u though.

This is a tongan tauolunga back in the days before Christianity tauolunga movements were fast but the church banned that style back in 1890s until the mother of Tonga queen salote brought back in the 50s n make it christian friendly that was here mission to preserve our culture as much as she could.
