low cooldown high impact easy to land abilities are what makes doom look easy, at least in my experience playing him in high master-low gm lobbies it is basically just button mashing until they pick 2-3 doom counters and focus you, but even then its playable with a bit of thought and its not as bad as most heroes playing into 2-3 counters focusing them. I played barely any ow1 doom and didn't play doom to get to that rank in the first place so overall I have very low hours on doom and don't really know or try to learn any doom tech but every time I decide to play a game of doom it just feels like button mashing/spamming out abilities and I just force out so many recourses, get so much attention/focus off my team, have high kill potential and basically only die if I mess up or get way too greedy as all of my low cooldown abilities can help me get out. honestly he has been a top 3 tank in most seasons being the best off meta tank almost all the time and constantly strong in solo q, the idea that doom is a weak hero that requites so much mechanical skill, thought and tech is just something bad players on doom tell themselves, his skill to value ratio has been way off in the doom players favour for a long long time.
