    And this is why those kind of movies were way more successful than todays crap. Hard work will always be appreciated.People recognize this. The passion and dedication James Cameron works on his films always stuns me. Look the "behind the Scenes" of Aliens. He went crazy - but the result ist awesome. Today you have hundreds of CGI-Artists on a movie - also hard work ..no question - but without the heart and soul that a handmade film has.

  • @Syklonus
    @Syklonus5 жыл бұрын

    This was the perfect premise for Terminator 3. Flip the first film on its head and have John Conner and a T-800 go FORWARD in time to Terminate Skynet. Edward Furlong was just the right age and everyone else was still young enough to be convincing. The third film should have been made in 1996 with Cameron directing, but now it's just too late no matter how many times they try. The last chance could be to get 41 year old Furlong in shape to play old John Connor and have a young CGI Arnold. Set it in the post apocalyptic world and call it "Future War", but James Cameron would have to come back to direct.

  • @SenseiDenax

    @SenseiDenax

    Sadly Edward Furlong looks like trash today, physically and mentally. Besides he's too small as an adult to be John Connor. Remember in Terminator 1 Kyle Reese says about John to Sarah "he's about my height". Michael Biehn is 1m82 when Furlong is barely 1m66, so around the same height than Sarah/Linda Hamilton. You can check the 3 of them together in this photo : i.pinimg.com/originals/8b/26/c1/8b26c12f60799a55ae44c0fc63551691.jpg

    James Cameron is amazing man..... I mean he is a creative genius, starting from being a truck driver, and making it from scratch in Hollywood all the way to the top the way he did. I mean this guy used to go to libraries, and universities and study researches made by students in physics, movie making, visual effects, and all branches of science. What a perfectionist. Actors ought to feel very lucky and happy when they get the opportunity to work with someone like that, instead of complaining and saying he is hard and difficult to work with. He has to be, I mean when you make movies like Terminator, Titanic, and Avatar. What else is left???? Even Spielberg can’t hold a candle to that......

    I'd love them to remaster and release Battle Across Time to the public. Most people have never seen it. Since the ride has been retired why not give a new life by releasing it. The 3D stuff isn't needed however not sure if it would work as short film since the ride integrated live actors in front of the audience into parts the story. But without live stage parts the story could so fractured it might not even be a watchable and followable.

  • @ogbrmusic

    The tea to show at Universal Hollywood was so freaking awesome they have this part where a live person is talking on stage but there’s a screen behind them and the liquid terminator spills out of the screen and onto the stage at that point you want to takeoff your 3-D glasses to see what you’re looking at LOL but then he walks off on the stage? I was like WTF? That was awesome!

    He lost the rights? That's such a shame. I consider James Cameron as 1 of the best ever.

    Time is ALWAYS a factor. The Terminator 1 was a 80´s movie, Terminator 2 was an early 90´s movie. Times has changed, and like art its impossible to recreate something that was perfect for its time. They have aged a LOT since the first 2 and that in itself disqualifies any chance of making something as iconic and groundbreaking as the first 2. Say they brought back EVERYTHING as it was during production in T1 and T2 it still would suck bigtime, thats how it works. How on earth did they imagine the new Terminator Dark Fate would work out? You would have to be the most optimistic guy in the world to imagine it would work out great.

    @VSlayer1980 No but this was sorta a test for James Cameron to try out 3D cameras and create an interest since he wanted to do one more film Terminator 3D or T3D as the working title was. I think that his idear was that after Titanic he would go on to make T3D, but since he and Linda Hamilton(The actress who plays Sarah Connor) got divorced(not so happily) he scrapped it and i also think thats where he lost the rights aswell.

    @norcalwriter He does no longer have the rights, but nor does Linda. She sold them to Universal. SHE wanted Jim to direct 3D & him not doing it was the reason they killed off Sarah. She felt that without him there is no more story to tell & didn't want to be part either.
