What can you say, the ultimate musician, singer. I'm a believer, however there must have been a very big reason why the big fella needed Mr Bolan. If I get in, some great company.

I absolutely love Marc Bolan, and his music, but, according to Tony Visconti, though Marc had an original style on guitar, Tony says that Marc was not a technical guitarist at all. According to Tony, Marc didn't even know the name of the notes on the guitar, nor the name of the chords he was playing. He played totally by feel. So I don't know if he would've been able to instruct, unless you were with him and he just shows you what he's doing. I don't think he would've been able to explain it in words.

"Ride a White Swan" is where the hit-bound Marc Bolan story starts. Whimsical, all dolled up with poetry and attitude - the bridge between their acoustic and electric styles, catching T.Rex on the cusp of caterpillar and butterfly.

Marc’s face at 1.23 feeling as good as you could ever feel it’s an amazing face of joy and the reason is he messed the lyrics up bad just before and then the next lyrics are wear you hair long and you can’t go wrong and he just laughs and smiles to himself hahah beautiful

Gloriously Shambolic. All Marc ever wanted to do was sell out and become famous. But despite that, he was freakishly sui geneeris. His sound, look, songwriting, and conception of pop music were all delightfully odd and in that great British tradition of campy cheek and charming amateurishness. No wonder the punks worshiped him and he loved 'em right back.

Absolutely. T. Rex live sounds like a teen garage band who only had a couple of rehearsals. But as I wrote above, the amateurishness is part of the charm.
