Always loved this T rex classic from the 70s!
Luv ya Marc ❤

Couldn't say Metal Guru at 10 years of age in Swales, Haverfordwest Music Centre. My mother didn't have a clue either. Fortunately, after a couple of hours listening to record after record I recognised it.😂🤣

Was this the biggest selling single of 1972. I'd think so.
The 313th UK #1. The last we'll see of the dinosaurs at the chart summit. Even though my favourite of theirs is "Get It On", this deserves similar status for its "newness" for most people in 1972. 8.2/10 ("Great")

Perfect to Jim Douglas and Herbie

The Warrior His spirit came his spirit has gone But with Marc Bolan, you can still Get It On T.rex they came and hit the scene You should have heard, those girls scream With his corkscrew hair and people so fair He’d strut on the stage without worry or care He knew just how to get into your mind He’d bump and grind he was one of a kind He’d caress you with his Persian glove As he sang those words of hot Hot Love He’d Ride A White Swan over Crimson Moon Tickle your fancy with Venus Loon Gave all he got, he gave it to you Rock On, Hang Ups, and Cadilac too All knew who was, was the Main man With Rip Off, Slider, and Tanx in a can Bill Legend, Steve Currie, Mickey Finn Bumping and grinding from deep within Satin jacket trousers, glitter under the eyes I Love To Boogie with screams and cries His B sides were good, as good as the A’s Jeepster was part of the Glam Rock phase Went to New York City he was The Groover With Telegram Sam Marc was a mover To some, it came as no great surprise How this 20th Century Boy he did rise Electric Warrior L.P. was pure bliss Marc Bolan the Warrior we do miss. By Peter Newell.
I just can't get my head around this. I mean this amazing song by an amazing compposer and bamd has got just 75k views. Meanwhile shit modern stuff is getting billions of views. What's wrong with everybody?

great music bands have systemically been squeezed out of the scene and have been replaced with commercial radio, gay boy bands(not that there's anything wrong with gay),to condition the public.there's no more learning worldly things, dont know if any1s noticing

@@edwardbeaini1923 The thing with today's music is not so much the talent which is still there, it's just over produced because you can now have 200+ tracks on a tune that is all programmed to fall exactly on the beat, so it's lost it's human feel. When this song was written most bands were limited to 8 tracks which were recorded on tape. Only giant bands could afford the techs required to expand on 8 tracks and maybe get 12 -24 tracks.
Shortly after my time (I was 26) but not at all a bad sound. (I feel that Bolan was not strong with lyrics, though.)
Released in 1972 - Who is rocking to this in 2022 ?

You need to get saved, T. Rex......and the ONLY WAY to God is through Jesus Christ, His loved Son....
pigsbishop99. See, I’ve been a huge, huge fan from 1970 to 1973/74. First , around 1974 a serious decline had begun respectively was all underway. He faced huge losses then and one of the losses was me ;). You know? A line of cocain and a bottle of whiskey ( cheers) per day. Ever more “glam”, i.e. cross dressing while the music getting poorer, sadly enough. He massively lost reputation in the last 3 to 4 years. And secondly, from the very beginning there were lots of T.Rex/Bolan “ haters” all around, in music industry, in the press and among young people. It wasn’t a good idea to wear a Bolan T-shirt in those days (as I did sometimes)from 1970/ 71onwards. It was a play with y o u r reputation in your peer group then. Don’t know how old you are but I think most witnesses of time will agree. Best regards and Rock on:
Marc Bolan für immer! Für Julchen. Wäschd beschäd
It sounds better every time you hear it just sublime how I miss marc 😢
