The more builds I do the more I appreciate thrust tests. How much was your tester? Thank you for all these test I have been able to use some of your findings.also your flight footage music makes me want to create a trance music station on pandora.

Thanks buddy. There is a link in the description (I think it's about $150). I actually got a more advanced Thrust Stand by RCbenchmark which I am going to start using soon (It costs about $950). Send me a link to your music station once you've got it set up :-)

How to do the efficiency charts work 4s vs 6s.. shows 4s more efficient but in test I seen people flew longer on 6s. Amps vs gf is better on 6s.. trying to build long range 5" was looking at betafpv vs brotherhobby 2004 1700kv but now wondering if 4s would get longer flight time in high Kv

6s is better normally since there is less battery sag and it's not something that is taking into consideration normally on thrust tests.

hi sir nice review. When you fly 1950kv motors on 4s does it feels sluggish?

I have a question regarding the current consumption. 4x1 ESCs for 4S and 6S are usually rated from 35A to 50A, however, in your tests motors go easily over 40A With this being said, this rated current is for each motor connected to the ESC or a nominal value? Thanks!!

If a ess is 35a it doesnt mean 35, and when it goes higher than 35 like to 60 and 80 iwouldnt fry coz 35a is for each motor so 35a x 35a x 35a x 35a=140a total so if it goes higher than 140 then the esc will be deep fried

35A for each motor and there are 4 motor so 140 total

Do you think is fine is pair the 1700kv with a 4s battery ? Or should i get the higher kv ? This for a freestyle use

In my opinion 1900kv is decent on 4s.1700KV will be underpowered (but still flyable).

Can you have motors that are too powerful on too light of a quad? Would that be bad or is it just extra room to maneuver?

  • @KremerFPV

You will need to tune it properly as there might be too vibrations due to the structure of the frame which is not designed for using "full sized" motors.

Well they are not as powerful, that's for sure. I am going to review the Emax Eco II series soon, which are more similar in terms of pricing.

I am getting some for indoor racing. I will know very very soon. I know for a fact Pacer is super durable so Velox being the budget offering might be little less durable and that would be ok. Given the locations we are using for indoor trainings (Hall of death - concrete + metal, Valkenburg: concrete + metal, gym : metal roof) I will know for sure :D
