I have never heard earlier to perform Albioni's Adagio such a perfect way.Listening this your eye will full of tears....

I'm speechless. I studied organ, and this masterpiece is one of my favourites. The performance is just unique and precious. Thank you for this jewel.

If I recall this was the back-ground music for the TV situation Comedy "Butterflies" which had a more social twist about a woman in "mid-life crisis" (Ria) and the fact that this had gone over both her husband and sons' notice. This piece was played as Ria [ Wedny Craig ] took her sole walks through the park when the boys were at school and her husband working. Often the scenes were with the trees either side othe path either in autumn or spring as they and often a misty bacground. Along with the visual backgounds, this piece of music really underlining her very real loneliness and isolation, the context of being within a dysfunctioal family and a husband not recongnising the plight his wife. On the lighter side the "cookery disasters" that she served up for tea in the evening being the brunt of most of the jokes. However a very accurate situation that comes from these crisies and how depression and insecurity can creep in, along with the feeling of total isolantion. Although funny, other parts as her lonely walks in the park, accompanied by this piece showing the more serious elements of loneliness even if you are part of a group (in this case family) who although together, don't really communicate.

It is superb work the talent is immense as for the organist she truly defines a Muse it was said of Orpheus that when he played the harp flowers bloomed as he walked by you do this to our spirits for me this is the definitive version of this music bravo Diva I am a devoted fan

Dokładnie tak. Od ponad 40 lat - kiedy usłyszałem go pierwszy raz - z chusteczką w ręce wsłuchuję się w ten przejmujący utwór, a w tym przypadku mam nadzieję, że w komplecie, wszyscy ci wspaniali muzycy będą mogli go znów grać w swoim wolnym kraju.

Coincido con Joseph Martinez es la mejor versión de este famoso adagio. El órgano excelentemente interpretado como instrumento principal de apoyo todo el tiempo. Aunque no lleve las melodías, el órgano es esencial porque sostiene toda la gran pieza. El equilibrio logrado entre el órgano y la orquesta (con el pizzicato de los chelos y el contrabajo bien enfatizado) está excelentemente logrado . Gracias Olenka.
