I’ve found many travelers from Bangladesh are traveling to these countries thus writing this post hoping that it will help travelers to plan their tour itinerary during their travel to these countries.
This is 2nd part which will help you to plan your Tashkent city trip planning, important information about Tashkent Metro & Uzbek Train information.

Important Information for Travelers to Plan Journey
When to visit Tashkent:
The best time to visit Tashkent (and Uzbekistan) is during spring (April - May) and fall (October - November). The weather during those seasons is very pleasant and the temperatures are usually around 20°C (68°F).
Currency Exchange:
Always bring your passport to exchange money. You can exchange money from any Bank. At present, I got 100 USD = 1,200,000 Som.
For easy understanding, remember 1 BDT = 100 Som.
How many days to spend in Tashkent:
Tashkent’s points of interest can be visited in two or three days.
Place to visit in Tashkent and Entry Fees:
1. Hazrat Imam Complex
Entry Fees: UZS 15,000. You can go there by Metro Train. Get out at the Gafur Gulom Metro Station.
2. Chorsu Bazaar
Entry Fees: N/A. You can go there by Chorsu metro station,
3. Kukeldash Madrasah
Entry Fees: UZS 10,000. Largest madrasah and one of the most famous historical places in Tashkent.
4. Minor Mosque
Entry Fees: N/A. Take the metro (at Chorsu metro station if you’re following this itinerary) and get out at Bodomzor Station
5. TV Tower
Entry Fees: UZS 40,000. Opening Time: 10 AM to 8 PM. Take passport to enter. 7th floor has restaurant. Have a cup of tea.
6. Beshqozon (Plov Center)
After visiting Minor Masjid, go to Beshqozon and enjoy your lunch. For about 25,000 Som (BDT 250/-), you get a big bowl of plov, freshly baked bread, pickled veggies, and lemon tea. The Plov center closes at 6 pm.
7. State Museum of History
The entrance fee is 10,000 UZS. If you want to take photo then you need to pay additional 15,000 UZS. You can get an English-speaking guide for 8,000 UZS (this is worth it if you want to learn more). The nearest metro station is Mustakilik Maydoni, one of the most beautiful metro stations in Tashkent!

12. Broadway Avenue (Sailkogh Street)
Sailkogh Street is a pedestrian street that unites the two most important squares of Tashkent: Amir Temur Square and Independence Square. This place is vibrant at night. Take a look.

How to Travel within City
(i) Yandex Taxi:
Install Yandex Taxi app and use it. This is very cheap. I have taken Yandex taxi at early morning (4 AM) from Tashkent Airport to hotel which was 5 km distance. Fare was 15,000 Som (BDT 150/-).
(ii) Public Bus:
By far western standard equivalent public transport system in Tashkent. All Buses are airconditioned and clean. You can only board into bus from designated bus station. The bus has ‘bus number’ in front of the bus and run on designated route. You can go to any bus stop within the designated route. Bus fare per person per ride 1,400 Som or BDT 14/-. I suggest if you have time, just get into any bus and enjoy ride till end of the bus route line. It’s will cost BDT 14/- only. You need to pay to the bus driver when you leave bus at the end of your journey. Mostly Bus don’t have conductor inside bus.
TIPS:
Install Yandex MAP. Why? The map shows nearest bus stoppage around you, which bus stops in that particular bus stop, what is start and end point of bus route line and most importantly, live tracking of bus. You can see bus icon are moving into map. Very convenient. I spend hours to use public transport to travel in all directions within Tashkent city to look and see the vibrant city.
