I would assume that you are an I.P. If so, when will you be training in the new T-7? Not that I want to see the T-38 go, she was sure fun to fly. And when did the Air Force change their grooming rules? Not that I am complaining I personally hated to shave all the time. Congratulation and good luck!

I'm a civilian now. Due to pilot shortages, they are bringing back civilian IPs. We are already training in Boeing's T-7 sim. We should see the first delivered to my base at Randolph sometime next year. Very excited to get at it. T-38 is so impressive. So crazy it's still such a good trainer after so long. I create all of AETC's VR/360 training content, and I'm not an IP. I am a pilot but not an IP. I was brought back to the military to help innovate pilot training using VR simulators and VR/360 videos from actual flights. I am cleared to fly in every Air Force airframe. And I feel ya; I'm former Marine Corps. I remember this guy whose beard grew so fast they made him shave twice a day, once before morning chow and again before evening. I always gave this man at least a no-shave chit for one of the shaves a day.

@@fluxmechanics That explains the wings you are wearing, I thought that was something new as well or perhaps an option. Yes, without a doubt the T-38 is a wonder trainer, but very unforgiving which, in a good way kept you alert. When I was attending UPT at Williams, closed since 1993, Class 92-08 she was all white so you can imagine the deconfliction. Hey! Good Luck, you got the best of both worlds, I hope you post videos and give your professional perspective of the T-7, from what I read is a worthy successor to the White Rocket. That's what we called the T-38.

@@george849 Hey brotha, been awhile. We are just getting the T-7 A Redhawk. So many delays. Not sure if I will be around long enough to fly with her. I'm trying to stay long enough to it, though my back is killing me. I can't sleep anymore. The lower back from high G's makes it so I can't lay down anymore. How've you been.
