I was there for her set. 'empty crowd' is bullshit. We were pretty far back, couldn't get closer because it was so crowded, it filled up once it got dark. She was incredible ❤

I like her she’s a great artist. But the problem is she is just not famous enough in the UK yet to headline Glastonbury. A lot of the audience just didn’t know her material.

It was nothing to do with her or other acts on other stages. Glastonbury’s refusal to screen the England Euro game at 5pm meant a lot of people left the festival to watch that elsewhere.

I went to the festival. Basically there was over 20 over stages playing other music that people wanted to listen to over hers.

Ok, I watched some of her set at Glastonbury yesterday. I admit id never heard of her, and what I heard isn’t really my thing. But the field was certainly not empty! It may not have been quite as packed as for better known artists, but thousands were there. Beware any ‘footage’ that supposedly shows her show where it has daylight. Her headline set was at night… it was completely dark. P.S. The England football match finished a couple of hours before she started.

Facts, Dua Lipa was competing directly with Idles and Fontaines DC. SZA just isn't big enough in the UK to justify giving her the headline slot

Who is she?

Dont even know who sza is, like mostly everyone else at glasto, not even one of my friends had heard of her... wrong festival and wrong crowd for her

I was there and indeed it was empty for her, however I also walked through The National who were on at the same time and that stage was only about a third full. I think a lot of people were at Justice instead, that stage was filling up for Justice even as the previous band was playing.

Bruh I just looked that crowd looked packedddddddddd. Maybe it was just depends on what section you were in but nah it looked crazyyy.

The Organisers got what they deserved..putting somone on to headline like SZA..Who the majority of british music fans havnt heard of..and dont know any of her tunes..was bound yo turn the audience off..And for her to make the excuse that her set clashed with other "popular"..artists is weak...James Blake?..Justice?..Orbital..(maybe 20yrs Ago..fact is..She wasnt the right pick..😮😢

People with just arriving that's why the crowd looks so small in the night time it was packed😂

It filled up later. But the ⚽️ game was on and that is gonna compete.

That isn't footage from her performance she started at 9.45 and it was pretty much dark feel so bad because of her technical issues

I hadn't heard her music. Never been interested in all of the Glastonbury acts. She has every right to be there. Some of you in the comments section were itching to say something nasty. She isn't making this an issue.

I literally watched the whole set on bbc iPlayer and it wasn’t empty at all. There was a massive crowd for her

That photo doesn't look sparse. It's full up to the mixer. Its a big crowd. That said, I've not been to Glastonbury since 1990. She got paid, so no matter. How worshipped do people need to be?

This is what happens when you book headliners where the most common reaction is who? Glastonbury is possible the worst festival ever created. More of a fashion show than a music festival. Bands that would be a skidmark on the bill at a real music festival as headliners 😂

From what l could see there were two audiences. A lot of glum white blokes watching the equally grim National and a far more mixed and joyous audience for SZA. As a 68 year old white bloke myself who had not heard of her, l enjoyed it despite the sound issues. Talking of joylessness, why not replace the awful AI voiceover on this with a sentient being?
