SZA live (voice teacher reaction)
/ discord
I got lots of free vocal help. I want to pay it forward and that's why I started my KZread and this discord. Accessible voice education changed my life and I hope to offer something back to anyone who wants to learn. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments, request videos, or join the discord and pm me your singing for vocal help.
I do work full time so please be patient. It may take me as long as a week to create content for a person looking for vocal help.

    20 Something is a fan favorite. It could be helpful to put the song name in the title (if you’re able to edit it). I came back to the video to fangirl and had trouble finding it again.

    @@ebonym428 you 100% right, I would’ve been seen this if that was in the title

    Because she drops her soft palate it affects her annunciation. It's hard to understand what she's saying. It's also hard for me to understand what Ariana Grande is saying when she sings as well. I don't think Sza could sing any other way.

    Sza is really good. One more recommendation is Lisa Fisher's performance on stage singing, How can I ease the pain". U want to critique the 1990's version. Still relevant today...most vocal coaches are amazed once they discover her

    Came from the Hit DifferentxGood Days reaction and I loved your reaction to her bringing the beat to the sound at like 9:00 in that video, and as soon as she hit the notes at like 8:20 of THIS video i just KNEW you’d have a similar reaction. Thank you for these videos, as a SZA fan I’m always shocked when I find ways to fall MORE in love with her voice and you are providing just that. Keep up your amazing work on this channel

    I'd be down for an album react, but I'm really worried about dmca strikes. What I might do is do something like a listening party on Discord where folks can chat actively while we all listen. I have no idea how to set that up though. It'll be a bit.

    Is she always singing in that nasal resonance? What give her that crispness?

  • @LesageSinging

    @LesageSinging

    3 жыл бұрын

    No, not always. She will bring it in and out depending on what's going on. The clarity you hear with her has to do with good vowels and good breath control. I have a course on vowels in my playlist called "resonance maker 101". They are some of my earlier videos so the quality is not great, but the information in there is solid. There are also some breath exercises in that course as well. Resonance Maker 101: kzread.info/head/PL3ryiA9_1jwM0yBtRoYSdC0lsXZPjje2U The smoothness of her voice also comes from the retraction of the false folds. That needs its own video. I'll be sure to make one on the topic sooner rather than later.
