This video showed me that everyone needs to enjoy their younger years before the clock is broken which means it time for adulthood. That why she used summer as an example because we never want it to end. We want to live in the moment and burn daylight before it to late. To late cuz we have pieces and pages (bills). i think the message behind this song is beautiful, and resonates with many. the sense of the struggle of trying to break from old habits - such as leaving a toxic relationship, trying to not be late to work, trying to stop going back to the strip club - and how the struggle is similar to trying to read the time from *broken clocks*. it also can be seen as feeling as though you are losing time, and wasting it all because it feels as though you can’t do anything with your life. we all feel as though our lives are slipping away like the sand in an hourglass, or the time on *broken clocks*. either way, each of the messages show us losing *control/ctrl* of our lives - and that, as a whole, represents the entire album. how control is a concept we seem to all be chasing, however impossible it may be. we will never have control. and the poignancy within that, is what writes the lyrics and characterises the flow of sza’s music.

Zack Abrams yeah sis but the whole concept of this video is playful, the ending is deep and meaningful but the whole idea of it is playful

I love how in the end she still has good friends who support her. This video made me so emotional. It sucks to see kids who have so much potential and life, end up in situations as adults no mother would wish for them. Sza's songs have some of the most real and relatable messaging for young females. She's like a bigger sister who's telling us to learn from her mistakes.

listening to this again and finally understanding the meaning got me in tears. Im just 17 but I already feel lost. Adults really screaming into your ear to have high ambitions but it really hurts when you know you'll never achieve them as you grow older. pray i can still change my future skskjsk edit: I’m 20 now and unfortunately pursuing a degree I’m not passionate about. Life has its ups and downs. I met the right people, and cut off the wrong ones. I sound so old now, but life gets better as you learn from your mistakes :) It won’t go the way you want, but it’s up to you to redirect your path! nobody seems to get the weekend video. warning, a whole book report (not really) is coming your way when you press “read more”. the whole entire song is about her (SZA) being a side chick. the lyrics after the first chorus are “i gotta say i’m in the mood for a little bit more of that, i mean i’m saying what kinda deal is two days? i need me at least ‘bout four of them, more of them, more you, on me, on us, just tell me you want me, yeah” she misses “her” man, but since she cant interfere with his main relationship, she can’t do anything about it. she feels seductive, but again, can’t do anything. therefore, she’s dancing around in lingerie in isolation. she wants to “satisfy” him, but can’t, and is feeling alone. hence, the video.

Rick and Morty Damn, this is a hard one tbh....I love H.E.R and her voice is so smooth but SZA is the only person who’s made an album where I like every song. Like I don’t skip any songs on it...so SZA.

This song is just a calm, but gentle vibe! This is my fav song from SZA. 💖💖

She got knocked out by some girl at the strip club she worked at. In the song she is talking about hard work, getting through the day, working shorty jobs and how hard it is. She also mentions a strip club. That’s where the ending comes into the song. When she got knocked out, she dreamed of being free and having fun at a camp and having innocence and her life back, she dreamed of what she really wanted. Then she wakes up at the end to see she is still at the strip club and she finds out what happened to her and that the camp was a dream. It has to do with the song because they both talk about hard work, life struggles, wanting to be free and working shitty jobs.

I dig the vibe of this video. 💯 I always wanted to go camping w/ a bunch of friends or people my age. At the very least, rent a cabin, vibe out with some people, take in the scenery, and just enjoy life uninterrupted as the sunset. 🌅
