Taeyang's love story is very beautiful and cute. Taeyang is the main vocalist and main dancer of BigBang. And he never had any love/dating experience in his life. He never had any girlfriend. Taeyang met his future gf/wife Min Hyorin on the set of his solo mv "1AM" in which she was featuring. Min Hyorin is a very famous Korean Actress and Model. They fell in love on the set and dated for while then they brokeup. Taeyang was very depressed when they brokeup and he wrote a song dedicated to her called "Eyes Nose Lips" which became his career's greatest hit and one of the most iconic songs in Korean history. You can even see Jungkook, Jimin and V singing that song in various karoake in Bangtan Bombs. Fortunately Taeyang and Min Hyorin came back together and dated for 4-5 years and they got married in 2018. And in 2022 they welcomed their first baby boy. Taeyang and Min Hyorin are one of the most beloved celebrity couples in Korea. Generally when Kpop idols reveal their relatioships they usually get lots of hate by their own fans and netizens. But in case of Taeyang, it was opposite as Taeyang never dated anyone so everyone was rooting for him and his first love.

Teddy is a producer who was at YG - and now is the head of The Black Label . Taeyang followed him. Teddy produced for individual Bigbang members, Bigbang as a group, Blackpink and many many others. Tablo also did work with Taeyang a decade ago.

I understand if many new k-pop fans, who never ventured outside BTS music, wondering why Yoongi gush over Taeyang amd bows 90 degrees. Fanwar and prejudice against BIGBANG aside, threy are a phenomenal group that had huge influence over new gen of groups. Back when idols are looked down upon, and are not considered "artist", especially with Hip-hop, BIGBANG (mainly GD, at times TOP,with Teddy's guidance) produced hits after hits and the general public started to take them seriously. They're the reason why groups now have members who can rap, produce songs and certain roles. They turn K-pop mainstream, popularized lightsticks, changing hair colors, mini-albums, Airport fashion, and many more. They have multi-genre music. If you're open to exploring their songs, I suggest checking Loser, last dance, fxxx it, flower road, MAMA 2015 stage. I mostly preferred their slow songs. You will see why they're a huge deal. Great reaction 🥰

i’ll definitely have to look into some of their music! i’m honestly so tired of all the fan wars and just want to enjoy music as an art form. it doesn’t matter where it comes from! i’m very interested. thank you so much for the info! 🥰

It is tiring. K-pop nowadays has turned into a petty competition on who gets the most views, gets to chart. While there's no denying it's as important, the music has been reduced to numbers and statistics. I hope some fans would just stop and focus on the music. I'm sure many fans were shocked to learn that RM and Taeyang were already hanging out put while they're out there fighting😆 I'm glad this collab and interaction happened to minimize, if not end, the fanwar.

If I just want to make one correction BIGBANG were already popular and were releasing hits after hits when Teddy got to work with them. It just a misconception among people that Teddy was with BB early on in their career.

I really loved your reaction to this! My best advice with getting into bigbang is to aggressively ignore fandom drama, haha. The fandom is divided because some people are struggling to accept the reality that one of the members is no longer in the group, which has caused a lot of internal discord. But all the music/work they've done as 5 is great, as is what they've done as 4, and their solos. Bigbang's approach to their career is pretty different to BTS's, in that they go very long breaks between releasing music as a group because they all do a lot of solo work. So it's common to start with the solos of one member before finding the group or vice versa. If you want to start with the something Suga mentioned in this wonderful interview, that MAMA 2014 performance of Good Boy that Taeyang did with his bandmate G-Dragon is definitely a fun place to start, and you'll see baby bts in the crowd! If you want to hear bigbang's most recent song, you should check out Still Life, which came out last year. Have fun exploring bigbang!!

I'm not a VIP but I do like their music. You can check them out if you like. On thing though I know they've been portrayed as the villains of kpop. I think it's easy to villainize them because they were unapologetically themselves when kpop idols are supposed to be squeaky clean choir boys. They dated, openly talked about relationships, didn't really do much fan service, went clubbing, made mistakes, broke kpop norms, which people both loved and hated them for.

I have to disagree a little bit with one statement, BigBang had amazing fan service. They had fan meets all the time, they would go out after video shoots and meet the fans waiting there, Taeyang used to bring out snacks to fans waiting in line, when TOP left the military he conspired with fans to have a secret fan meet instead of meeting with the press, and GDragon filmed a whole mv with just the fans. These are just a few examples of their amazing fan service.

This! When I got into K-pop, I thought it's overly saturated with candy bops. Huge part why I was drawn to BIGBANG is they're fearless to explore and push boundaries, even if people find it weird or gets hate from that. Until it became a trend and new norm in the scene. I first saw GD in a mohawk with pen in one ear, then with a skirt and he pulled it off! He kinda reminded me of David Bowie. I think of BIGBANG as rockstars, not idols 😆

@@lilithofnod when it comes to fan service, it's mainly Ri who take on this job. But compared to the other groups, even more today's group, BB has less content. Heck, I think our fandom is the most deprived in terms of that with their long hiatus 😭 while other groups are spoiled with thousands of content, and even become entitled, there's VIP watring for TOP's weird post 🤣🤣 I live for his post 😆

The thing about Big Bang is that they are not typical Kpop idols whose clean image is the most important in keeping their popularity. Their popularity comes from their music, not from their visuals or clean image. Even people who hate BB listen to their music and sing their songs at Karaoke. Big Bang is also one of the only male kpop idol group Korean men like. They are in a very special place in the history of Kpop. Big Bang is considered as the icon of that generation, not really an idol group

16:41 The culture of the fanbase during the third gen changed A LOT. There's this air of suffocating selfishness and hate. It's like they placed a signboard on their idols and wrote MINE ONLY. And this is not just toxic fans of bts, other groups have it too. Blind item story. There are these two third-gen groups that were close. They were like brothers, and both did so well once they debuted. People loved their music, but their fan bases were always fighting. Those endless fights turned off a lot of people. The worst thing their fandom did to them was when they didn't support their collab album. They let it fail. As time passed, people just got fed up and forgot about them. They still make music, but due to the fans' hostility toward one another, they hardly show their friendship on camera or social media. They lost all that charm because their fans ruined everything. And it isn't attracting many fans anymore. And if they do try their music, people will get turned off because of the fans. The most annoying part, they blamed the company for their idols decline in popularity. Truth is, their popularity declined all because of the fanwars. That's based from my and others experience.

Taeyang and GD are childhood buddies, they're the middle children in the group but they are the acting parents as well. I believe Taeyang is like the Mother while GD is the Father. TOP is the oldest but he is goofy and sometimes child-like (which is a charm for him in contrast to how he appears on MVs and performances). Although, I remember TOP saying even he is afraid when Taeyang gets angry because he really never gets angry easily. I believe both Taeyang and TOP are introverts (not really that much sure about Daesung since he is a friendly guy) while Seungri is the most social person then next is GD (although GD mostly only goes out with his circle but he is quite active in some events). The older three are the least to appear in shows (only when they promote songs as a group or solo) while the youngest two (Daesung and Seungri) are the most active in guesting or hosting.

YG family was very phenomenal back then. BIGBANG, 2NE1, WINNER, iKON, Epik High (Tablo, Tukutz, Mithra), Psy, Lee Hi, AkMu, they're huge and majority of the artists back then looked up to these ppl, and this YG FAMILY HAPPENED bc of BIGBANG, BIGBANG started the family and BIGBANG also started all the things that idols do nowadays, I know you have prolly read some comments, even LIGHTSTICKS, back then before GD/ G-Dragon made the first lightstick in KPOP, fans only used balloons during the artists' live performances. And BIGBANG basically broke the norms of an idol, that unfortunately, others idols can't do. Especially nowadays, idols are oppressed, they need to always have an wholesome image even if they're grown ups, they're treated as robots, they can't be really be their own selves bc majority of the fans are toxic. A simple interaction of opposite sex idols can brought to crazy fans' comments or even an interaction to the same idols but both from different groups, fans are way more toxic now that they even control their idols' personal lives and that's another thing why idols looked up to BIGBANG. BIGBANG WILL CALL OUT YOUR BEHAVIOR AS A FAN, wherever they are, they would always remind their fans between what is their relationship to them, and not fantasize them that will lead to delulu set up. BIGBANG SPEAKS WHATEVER ON THEIR MINDS, that's why media & some would take it against them, but that won't make us hate them, that's how they're loved and appreciated. FOR BEING THEM, THEY ALWAYS SHOW TO PPL, that they're humans, they are just any typical young boys, who date, drink, smoke, and do fun crazy things but that won't make them less as a person. THEIR TALENT AND SKILLS ESPECIALLY ON A LIVE STAGE IS ALREADY A GIVEN THING WHY THEYRE BEING RESPECTED AND IDOLIZED BY IDOLS, EVEN K HIP HOP COMMUNITY RESPECTS THEM A LOT AND LAST THING, DESPITE THE HATE THAT WERE THROWN TO THEM BY MEDIA AND SOME KOREANS, THEY WOULD STILL BE KOREANS FAVORITE, YOURE A KPOP FAN OR NOT, EVERYONE LOVES TO LISTEN TO THEIR MUSIC. ps there's a lot of things to say about them but you can always check those recommendations that were given to the comments

Great reaction! I'm a multi-fan and I hope, eventually, everyone will be one. You can't preach that your group is all about love and then spew hate at every other group. It's okay to not like another group's songs or their personalities but just don't listen to them and concentrate on the ones you love. BigBang debuted in 2006 when Taeyang was 17. He joined YG when he was 13. He is the middle child of the group. TOP is the hyung, GDragon is the leader and same age as Taeyang, and now Daesung is the Maknae. Taeyang has been called the Grandpa of his group, mostly because he loves Dad jokes and stays home a lot. He's also the chef of the group. So you can see how very alike he and Suga are. I hope you check out an intro to BigBang! Also, Taeyang is infamous for watching reactors. I think he'd love your reaction!

just a personal reflection but i believe more than the companies/artists that don't want to collaborate with bts, the biggest obstacle are the fandoms (to be clear i'm not blaming one particular fandom, this is just a general thought and my own hypothesis). I've been a kpop fan for more than 10 years and if there's one thing that i've learned is that fandoms hold a lot of power in this industry, kpop fandoms are hardcore in everything they do and even the smallest thing can cause the biggest problem. For example, (this is a stupid example i know but it tells you a lot) when in variety shows celebrities play the "guess who" game there have been instances where people didn't recognize or remember some idols name which should be completely normal and fine no big deal, except that the first thing they do is deeply apologize to the person in question (who i doubt could care less) and the FANS asking not to get attacked. We all know that something like this is not that big of a deal, but people in the past have been criticized even for this much. Or even the fact that the fandoms can destroy couples, they are literally the reason why idols date in secret. Fanbases are pretty much feared by companies and artists alike. This is obviously just my observation, could be wrong but the vibe (lol) i get is exactly this. I do not doubt that there IS some conflict of interest between some of these companies however i strongly believe that the closest possible reason for this are the fans. And btw looking at how things went with this collaboration i'm even more convinced that this is the reason. Btw great reaction, i thoroughly enjoyed it and sorry for the long-ass unrequested opinion ^^'

it honestly doesn’t even surprise me that fanbases would be another big reason why idols can’t even converse with each other without someone blowing it out of proportion. that makes me so mad! especially because some of these idols knew each other from school or were close as trainees. it’s really sad that we control so much of their interactions and make them feel like they can’t even make a simple HUMAN mistake of forgetting someone. if i had ever been an idol, i would’ve had so much hate since i can barely remember anyone’s name. 😂 but, i so appreciate you telling me all this! i always welcome opinions!!!

Taeyang - is his Korean stage name, meaning Sun SOL - his Japanese stage name, meaning Sun Dong Yongbae - his real name. Yes, BTS is third generation 1996(birth of Kpop) - 1999 - 1st generation 2000 - 2009 - 2nd generation 2010 - 2019 - 3rd generation 2020 - 2029 - 4th generation Kpop fans are confusing this.. so there's no 5th gen yet. That will come in 2030-2039

You got some years wrong. First generation of K-pop was till 2001/2002 in which legendary artists such as BoA was debuted who is also first generation. Second generation was in between 2002/2003 till 2010/2011. 3rd was between 2012 till 2017. And 4th generation started from 2018 and is still continuing. Groups debuted in 2018 and 2019 such as Stray Kids, Ateez, G-Idle, Loona, TXT, Itzy, Everglows, you can't call them 3rd gen groups. They are the groups who started 4th generation.

You said, "i've never seen yoongi act that way", dont be shocked, comprehend the situation, TAEYANG AND THE WHOLE GROUP BIGBANG IS THEIR IDOL... they were the artist that inspired them to work hard until they achieved what they have ryt now. Just like you, look at urself? Why are act that way? Is it because thats who u r? Or because yoongi and the whole BTS is ur bias. Its the same way to bts members. They act like a fan to taeyang because they were literally their idol and bts members are not afraid or shy to state that. Dont u understand why yoongi said a while ago, "it is not exaggerated if i say bigbang literally made bts?" Try to understand this. BTS are not fake, they literally exposed themselves to everybody that there are tyms that they were become a huge fan of someone they looked up to. So please stop asking ateez or any other idol to collab with bts coz this is yoongi's chance to collab with his idol, DISRESPECTING BIGBANG IS DISRESPECTING BTS. PLEASE RESPECT YOU BIAS' OWN DISCISION.
