I'm so glad that the brilliant teachers in medicine are now on you tube educating students and doctors far away. I am a retired doctor and I loved post grad education but we never had this accessibility. I have had sjogrens for years but symptoms free more or less for 5 years. I've recently had a bad flare with Malar rash, discoid rash, evening fevers with pyrexia 38.8. time to go back on the hydroxychloriquin I think. I suspect it's mild sle.

Hydroxychloroquine is Toll like receptor inhibitor, so less B cell and T cell action.glucocorticoids inhibit Nf kappa b which is transcription factor which increases tnf alpha and IL1 less immune attack also steroids inhibit phospholipase,cyclo and lypooxygenase so less immune reaction.
