Uh one question what happens if used a coded switch and have different codes? Cause my hometowns hall has that it's a code 3 but the controller from 1960-70 and is always set to march time also they have a switch outside that's like 5 feet up u know why?

+Fire Alarm Technologies You cannot do that at all, also they're called smoke alarms. Smoke alarms require AC power while fire alarm systems run on AC, but everything is powered by DC, you just can't do it.

+Fire Alarm Technologies I now remember what your talking about, that was a battery powered smoke alarm, not AC/hardwired. Instead of a battery, he connected the power to the two connectors, then took out the piezo and had that activate the system as I recall. I've done it before with battery powered smoke alarms

get a simplex 4903 9427 it's a truealert that is non addressable and has a switch for smart sync or freerun
