I remember a lot of guys from Lupane who loved System Tazvida to bits. The days he sang Vaforomani they used to go crazy and his shows were just something else. The guys couldn’t speak Shona much but they liked System.

System Tazvida was a genius. It's sad that people looked down on him. Husalad hwakaruzisa vamwe our proper Zimbabwean music. This guy shall never be matched ever.

System Tazvida proved himself on Mabhauwa in 1989, & when he joined Sungura Boys, and led vocals on songs such as Dhiya Ungwarire, it was so obvious that, young, as he was, he was destined for greater things. I mean in 1989, he was 21 or so, and Mabhauwa actually surprised many in Zimbabwe and neighboring countries, including my own, Botswana. Honestly, System was better than Macheso and Tongai. It is only that he died before social media could promote his music. In terms of lyrics, message and arrangement of guitar, his band was bit organised and far much better. In fact, System left a very intact and happy band in 1999 when he passed on. I started following him in 1989 until he death, and, for sure, he was destined for greater heights!

Let's not forget the man behind the Rhythm Guitar, Lucky Mumiriki, the two left Sungura band together to start this.. they were both in their 20s .. Just listen to that Rhythm

I remember going to his show when I was 18 years in redroom in mbare 1998 and the following year he was dead 💔 I was so heartbroken 💔 my best musician up to now no one can fill his gap rest in peace System 💔
