Actually no one knows that for sure. Paleontologists and paleozoologists only can make *assumptions* based on bones form, similarities with modern animals, etc. Anyway, my comment shoudn't have been taken literally, as I don't know how dinosaurs sounded like either :) When I say "roars like dino" I actually mean that I like that growling tone.

THAT TONE IS TREMENDOUS!!! It's like the perfect tone. A nice full, fat tone with a lot of bottom end, but also a big punchy top end with a hufe amount of attack!

Watching that low E string flop around is very gratifying!

Can we all just stop for a second to appreciate just how amazing System of a Down is? What a totally original sound and mesmerizing rhythm. All their songs feel spiritual to me, it's amazing because it's also so damn fucking heavy! Man your bass sounds insane.

Few reasons. One was already said, second is that the blend between clean sound of bass and distortion is much closer to distortion, then we have lots of mid and high tone and not that much low. If you wanna get that Motorhead feel it's really easy, but if you want exac Lemmy tone it's impossible unless you are Lemmy and pick strings, fret notes like Lemmy
