I like what he said about growing up in Lebanon, where alcohol and cigarettes were readily available to children, and he didn't smoke or drink. I'm willing to bet most of those kids didn't. Why? Because it was legal, having it legal made it so that there was no hype about doing it. Making these substances illegal just glorifies them. When I was a child I always wondered what weed was like, because it was so demonized, I never thought twice about cigarettes and alcohol because they are legal.

I hope now that in 2023 recreational cannabis is legal in many parts of the US that synthetic cannabinoids have been replaced by consumers with the real, safer product.

Spice has no other use other than to smoke it. The only reason it's legal is because it's impossible to regulate in its nature.

Bleach actually has directions for correct intended use as well as health advisories and emergency related information. Herbel incense packaging does read "not for human consumption" but it remains a product sold next to rolling papers and pipes with marijuana related depictions/entitlements. I'm pretty sure more kids smoke spice than drink bleach these days as well. Just a thought.

I am thoroughly enjoying this exchange.

George reminds me of the character on Saturday night live who sold bags of broken glass so kids could play with it. Beyond that the only ones to blame for this shit is our screwed up federal faction that is still delaying real marijuana from becoming legal. If you smoke it stop now. I was hooked on it for 2 years. It really messed me up in the head. I had problems processing sentences and would constantly stutter. Finally I was arrested with it and faced felony charges. Thankfully it was worked down to a misdemeanor and if I complete my probation will be gone from my record. Take it from me its not worth it. It will ruin your life.

Synthetic cannabis is the reason why i'm facing all of my problems. But i'm standing up for this guy. He makes the product. It's not his job to make sure it stays out of the hands of children. That's the parents job. as well as the government and the people at the stores actually selling the product. this stuff is something you have to be responsible with just like alcohol and any other drug out there.

thats a stupid thing to say. Sure theres people out there who may be aware of the danger and do it anyway that should take responsibility. But theres plenty of people who arent/werent aware of the dangers and the marketing for it is very misleading being put next to smoking items in convenience stores and made with flashy prints designed to attract young people, ect. But if someones manufacturing a product thats killing and seriously harming people they should also take responsibility and stop producing it rather than uphold an idiotic justification like "well anything can kill someone so ill continue to make something thats killing people".

I wonder how many people prank called this reporter after he gave his number out on national television.

This video is amazing to me. We have a journalist, clearly not neutral like they are supposed to be, hammering this guy who is doing nothing illegal nor immoral. I have smoked "synthetic marijuana" and I know 100s who have also. None of us got sick. It's my theory that the kids going to the emergency room or allegedly dying are "wigging out" cause they never been high before and don't know the effects or got a bad batch.

I don't think this guy is doing anything particularly wrong even if I wouldn't ever consume his products and would actively discourage anyone else from using his products. If you could legally sell synthetic cannabinoids for consumption his product would be substantially safer as they could say the quantity of drug (and what rc) they laced into the herb blend. Recreational synthetic cannabinoids are much more dangerous than regular pot, but it's just another drug. The real problem here is the consumer of synthetic cannabinoids are taking an unknown dose of an ever changing synthetic cannabinoid lead to overdosing.

To anybody consider using this stuff I'll be straight up with you here. This stuff hits the exact same receptors as marijuana does (CB1/CB2) but to put it simply there is no limit to how high you can get like there is with marijuana. This is where the "bad trip" stories come from. People who have overdosed. These things are untested and their safety profile is unknown. Please use with caution. Experimentation is most likely harmless for you curious cats out there.

The latest polls have shown that over half of all Americans are in favor of the legalization of marijuana but our government is afraid of losing the tobacco and alcohol money.
