..so how long is relatively long? Is 15 years of pre-treatment period long enough?

Linear programming finds the best fit weights with a program, it's a deep topic actually but something you don't need to worry about so much altough you can create more constraints for example if you don't want any of the control units for example to have a weight greater than 50%
Is it possible to use this method when you have different interventions that occurred close to each other. For instance the first intervention occurred in 2000 and the second intervention occurred in 2001. Can I say for instance any changes that occure after 2000 is due to the intervention in 2000.
