Hi can a Land Cruiser scavenge oil pump make an intermittent ticking sound when engine is warmed up only?

Can a bad or weak oil pump causes Tdi to knock at cold start? My Tdi knocks when engine is cold and gets better once it warms up..

If gaskets are leaking do you need to replace the whole oil pump?

So I have a 06 trailblazer . The oil pressure gauge kept moving up and down then all of a sudden my engine started knocking and smoke was coming out the oil cap.. so it’s safe to say my engine is damaged correct?

I have 2003 Cadillac Seville. It makes tapping or ticking sound . Goes away after I'm stopped and accelerate .but comes back abd sknetimed goes away. Heard mught ve lifters or sonething else . Heard Northstar engines are bad . Got from Neighbor tgaf was moving who insisted no issues with car . It happened one week after buying it. Fruebd saud use slick 50 i did thihght was gone two eeeks later it's back. What is it what can i do. Mechanic said could be lots of things vety expensive to find out. Im unemployed no money used last of it to get car. What can i do to it to help fix it that's not expensive

Hello my engine when it warms up and about 30 min the engine starts to lose oil pressure slowly, but when the engine cools down I get the oil pressure back or when I accelerate in neutral gear the oil pressure comes back at high rpm. I wonder if it could be the oil pump or engine worn in the cam bearings? To give more info the engine is not leaking oil and the pressure on the cylinders is quite good

Possibly bad or worn piston rings.

Guys I need help I have a 2010 vw polo 1.2 petrol (CGPB engine) 110k miles I have replaced the engine with a new one (80k miles) the engine runs perfect when it is started but as soon as I rev the car at idle about 2000rpm above the low oil pressure light comes on I have checked the oil pressure and it’s at optimal pressure i have done a oil change with a new filter too. I am due to change the oil pressure sensor as it is common they become faulty there is no engine knocking or anything. What could be the reason ?

Possibly worn piston rings.

It's not failure, it's starvation. Clean that pickup tube.

It fails because it breakes
