Mike is genuinely a nice humble guy. I met him in Montreal during the first heavy mtl festival and we partied while watching Iron Maiden perform their set!

Got into this band recently and I'm loving them. Symphony X makes awesome metal! I wish he asked Romeo a bit about his gear - guitars/amps/pedals and even some of his practice routines because I really enjoy his guitar playing - amazing player.

To me Romeo is defining a whole new brutal melodic sound without equal with the last 2 albums which is complex but still accessible enough to pump iron or bang out Hindu squats to. At least 80% or more of most music especially rock loses it's luster for me after awhile. I just can't listen to Queensryche Empire anymore. The feeling I had in '94 just isn't there anymore. But much of Symphony X doesn't really get old like that. Nothing against early SX albums, but the last 2 or three bring a infectious, addictive modern grooves that you should be working out to. Let's get after it!

I really wish they would go back to the neoclassical sound. New mythology suite is a masterpiece, and in my opinion iconoclast and paradise lost weren't anywhere near as good. I just hope they're not trying to do this "low register stuff", as Romeo puts it, to try to keep up with the times (aka, idiot kids love overly heavy crap). Just my opinion.
